June – Week 2
This week's events are a good opportunity to try out the cars from the new update. This week I used:
Gamepad | Automatic transmission | Race Difficulty – Hard | TCS 1

#5 | Gr.1 Prototype Series | 24 Heures du Mans Racing Circuit
Porsche 963 '24 | PP 908 | RM tyres | FM 3 | 1 pit
First of all, I would like to note that I think 3 million for new cars is too expensive, I expected more for that kind of money. I used a Ferrari 499 in my first attempt, but I only finished third. Then I chose a Porsche 963 and won, but not without difficulty. For comparison, I once again drove this race in an F3500-A and won by a much greater margin.

#4 | Ferrari Circuit Challenge | Yas Marina Circuit
Ferrari FXX K ‘14 | PP 700 | RS tyres
The main goal in the race was to get as far away from the F8 Tributo as possible before it started to catch up with you. By my luck, he got stuck behind the slow bots and my lead was enough to win.

#3 | One Lap Magic | Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps
Peugeot 9X8 ‘95
I couldn't win on my first attempt, but what really pissed me off was that I had to wait more than a minute before the race started. It's stupid. It's a good thing it only took me 3 tries.

#2 | Japanese FR Challenge 450 | Suzuka Circuit
Nissan Silvia K’s Type S ‘94 | PP 450 | SS tyres
With great difficulty, I managed to overtake exactly the same Silvia that I was riding myself. I suspect it was more powerful than my PP450.

#1 | Sunday Cup | BB Raceway
Renault Clio V6 34V '00 | PP 380 | SS tyres
The only problem in this race was with Atenza. The gap was less than a second.

Then I'm honest, too ... :lol:
I've been a bit disappointed that there's no DQ at all.
You can plow through Eau Rouge and Les Combes cutting it into straight lines, you can smash into walls and go everywhere basically and you can bash other cars in any way without consequences.
The only place that you can not cut but get re spawned is the bus stop chicane.
The whole thing is not much of a challenge !

Ok, so I'm gonna be honest also: Not a fan of High Downforce cars, so when I realized there's a 75 second(!) waiting period before the mission even starts, I cancelled it and set the difficulty to easy just to make sure I don't have to repeat it. Whoever had the idea of doing it this way should be forced to chew a Ghost Pepper for 75 seconds🥵😄
 
Ok maybe somone can figure this out because I can't.
I'm using each of the new Hypercars in the weekly race. Today was the BMW. Normal difficulty,DS controller, automatic. We had rain in the race so a lot of pitting. This was lap 5 and I'm in 5th running on IM's. Trying to keep my tires cool on the Mulsane so I'm either on the left or right. This is after the second chicane. All of a sudden I'm reset and end up in the back. Was I too close to track limits? It didn't look like it. Or it's a limit I never knew of.

Similar thing happened to me but it was dry when it happened to me after the second chicane, i was distracted by my wife for a couple of seconds and found my self rest and in second place ( i didn’t save the replay ).

I don't understand the logic in this situation either. I can assume that the rule here is the same as in Daytona, when you ride too long inside the circle and you get thrown back. There are no clear boundaries at Le Mans and I often don't understand where I got the penalty. But usually there are no penalties in the rain.

Had something similar one time at Road Atlanta when the AI pushed me onto the grass in the Esses, got straight back on track then ran onto the curb at turn 5 and then it put me all the way back at turn 4. I'd assume they have a system where if the game thinks you've been off track for too long you need resetting and this somehow triggers it, like you're missing timing loops or something.

all on hard difficulty. ABS weak, no assists. PS4 with controller

Sunday Cup
: Stock Toyota RAV4. Bought it for the new engine swap so could use it stock. Easy win. Mazda Atenza was the biggest opposition. CRB ✅
Japanese FR Challenge 450: Stock Mazda Roadster S (ND) '15. Won after a hard fight and a few tries. No CRB 🚩
Ferrari Circuit Challenge: Ferrari F430. SS tyre, race brake, pads, exhaust, manifold, air filter & ECU. FC supension. Fun race, won + CRB✅
GR.1 Prototype Series: Ferrari 499P. Weather and fuel economy played right in my cards. Won by roughly 20s. No CRB🚩
Special Event: Fairly easy. Got gold after the 1st try but wanted a better time so did it again and was +/- 1,5s faster. The waiting game is reminding me of the GT4 missions. I really loved those. This one was easy, should be as in a license test: hit a car, barrier, of the road -> try again.

Think I got the Honda VGT as reward, that I sold for the surprisingly high amount of 600K

Done without ABS. The previous run was done with Default ABS before the mod came.

Needs more practice, but the fact that I can make it get near the time with the ABS is a testament of the elastomer's capabilities.


Yas Marina has hard braking zones, definitely a difficult track with ABS off.

The week that was...

BB Raceway | Sunday Cup | Stock Honda S800 '66 with no ABS

Stock with all assists off (and no ABS) makes this short race more exciting and challenging.



Suzuka | Japanese FR Challenge 450 | Stock Skyline Hard Top 200GT-R (KPGC10) '70 with CS tires.

Another Japanese classic car. While keeping the rest of the car stock this one needed some soft tires to keep up and get the win.



Spa | Mission Challenge | One Lap Magic

Going by the excitement in the socials regarding these new Gr.1 cars I think I'm one of the few that could take it or leave it. I was more interested in the safety car that came with it. 😂



Yas Marina | Ferrari Circuit Challenge | Stock 296 GTB '22

Damn this stock road car has some pull. But as is usual with Ferrari road cars in this game the back end is slippery. Careful throttle control is a must.



LeMans | Gr.1 Prototype Series | Ferrari 499P '23 with RH tires

I take back what I said earlier about Gr.1 cars 😂. I spent most of my week on this race trying to win with a no pit strategy. It was hard finding the pace but even harder was getting the Clean Race Bonus.

After many attempts I grew to love these cars and this track. When I finally got the win with a CRB I was pretty pumped.
