Hey ! @smoothbore12
This car is very good for me, shift before red zone to exploit the turbo !
I lapped 7:19.769 on the Nurburgring race Power Pack this morning, more 10 seconds ahead the Serrano 911 GT3.
Tomorrow, I test it on the WTC600 Tokyo new regulation šŸ˜‰

So I revisited Colorado Springs today after that painful run yesterday. Thought of finding ways to make the driving more controllable and getting reasonably quick and consistent laps.
I'm using a DS4 and after reading comments here about fiddling with the steering sensivity setting, I want to say I'm still using sensivity 10 ( just like before ) and it's been perfectly ok. I don't think the solution for strange car behavior can be found here.
The car I used was another Lancer VIII, however the standard no swap version. First thing I did was following @RCKakashi14 's hint to transfer Gr.B car settings to my car. As a result the driving experience definitely got a lot closer to what it was before without really eliminating that impression that bumps and jumps are way more pronounced than before the update. So what I can imagine is we maybe have a mix of new driving physics and changes made to track parameters. Don't nail me down to this !
So, with this couple of changes that seem given now, I finally decided to just additionally adapt my driving, my lines, throttle input etc. to what the track allows and honestly, after finishing the session I was quite content with what I had. Cheers. Keep on rolling ...

These new physics are not very good for CRB runs...

Nice liveries but the Kath is really a beauty 🄰
Thank you, the Super7 and Hyundai I made myself, using other peoples decals, I did upload the "SK on" though, the others I just edited so I can have my number and I like the center lock wheels so I will change the original wheel decals to match my wheels etc.

This week's vehicle roster and theme: 'engine swap heroes' (all engine swapped vehicles) top row: vehicle choices
Screenshot_20260821-010147.webp
Bottom row - engine sources

  1. Caterham with the Suzuki Jimmy swap, moderately turbo tuned to 380pp Sunday cup specifications on Comfort Hard tyres - was genuinely a lovely drive this, very controlled and stable! Might be my new Sunday cup destroyer for the cheating ai on specific events! Was first by halfway through the final lap on the final few corners.
  2. Radical SR3SL with the Suzuki VGT Gr3 swap, powered down to meet regs running Sport Hard tyres - this was also pretty nice once I got accustomed to it! Got first on the final lap on the main straight...thankfully the other opponents were holding up the Alfa Romeo of gallo
  3. Suzuki Carry with the Honda 2&4 concept swap, massively engine modified on Sport Hard tyres - this one was a stupid amount of fun if sketchy at times revved to high heaven and was an absolute blast to barrel up and down Eiger with, even if I did get first before the final lap this time...was still a lovely fun car to throw around!
  4. Evo IX with the new GAC Maverick swap on Dirt tyres.......fully tuned and designed to scare the holy bejeezus out of me, which was a colossal mistake with these new dirt physics - yeah this was my personal coffin for the duration of the race...yes it made it comically easy but getting a handle of this monstrosity was ANOTHER THING ENTIRELY...got first before the halfway point.
  5. Daihatsu Copen with the Mazda RX7 rotary swap extensively modified with a turbo upgrade (I forget which as I've since changed the build slightly) to close to 600pp on Sports Soft tyres - genuinely a shockingly nice car to drive unlike most rotary swaps! I've always felt the rotary has been done dirty with past swaps and how weirdly wallowy they felt, but this one I had managed to fail and wring out around the green hell and had a fun time doing so chasing the xaiomi, which I eventually overtook as the 2nd lap begun!
As always my runs were done on hard AI while using PSVR2 and only going up to the highest tyre compound the ai opponents may use....which is probably why my Evo IX descriptor was so...visceral

This week...

Sardegna | Sunday Cup | Stock Civic Si Extra (EF) '87 with no ABS

Dunno what the track limitations are in this race but I'm sure I nearly abused most of them trying to keep this stock Civic on the track with no ABS. CRB āœ…

Catalunya | European Clubman Cup 600 | Stock Vantage '18

Love the sound, love the driving, love the look. Under 600pp for the stock version straight off the showroom floor. Challenging but fun. CRB āœ…

Eiger Nordwand | Japanese FR Challenge 550 | Stock Toyota Mark II Tourer V '97 with SM Tires

Loving the new cars. Don't know which I enjoy more, the two Chasers or the Caterham.

At first I attempted this race with a completely stock Mark II Tourer V. 2nd place was the best I could do. So I switched to SM tires making it possible to win but not probable with traffic on this thin and whindy track.

Fantastic race though. Never a dull moment. CRB āœ…

Colorado Springs | Evolution Meeting | Stock Lancer Evolution VIII MR GSR '04

Not much difference with the new car physics for me in the dirt with my Thrustmaster TGT. Maybe the front end feels a little lighter?

The bigger difference for me is the PP changes to the stock vehicles. These rally events are usually pretty easy to win with the lower PP cars but now it's much more difficult to find a stock car that can win it. I'm happy about that. šŸ‘Œ

Just got over the finish line in 1st with what looked like every other opponent right behind me. šŸ

Nürburgring Nordschleife | World Touring Car 600 | Stock Caterham Seven Superlight R500 '08

A great addition to the game the Caterham. Repeated this stock challenge over and over till I got the win with CRB. Loved every moment.
