One of the few things I would like to see return to GT would be the Subaru Legacy vehicles as well as the wagon versions of the WRX STI and Legacy models as wellView attachment 1520196

I'd love to see this. My wheels are already in the game now I just need the car to go with them.

The Nissan Pulsar GTiR and Primera GTe would make good rivals to the existing Japanese AWD and FWD rosta.

Big agree. The Japanese classic FWD roster is sorely lacking anything not a Honda Civic (Outside of the FTO and DC2 of course)

This is a shame as FWD Japanese hatchbacks and sports sedans are part of the heart and soul of GT, and it would beat another souless EV or soft-roader.

Throw in a version of the Mazda Astina/Lantis/Protege/323, and a FWD Celica as well and now you are talking.

The FF Levin, Sprinter, Mirage hatch and coupe, Prelude and of course the daggone Primera are sorely missed. They're all legacy cars that should soldier on til the end of the franchise.
At least we're getting the Prelude (albeit the tuned GT Awards version) in the future, but I do agree we should get the stock versions at least

I played Battle Gear 1 at an arcade for holidays, and I find myself appreciating the AE111 despite never driving it in GT. (Not my video)

I could certainly agree with such a sentiment, yeah! Like how even in the relatively narrow context of Honda, I'd love to see the Type R Meeting return as a Bonus Menu, but only if we get the EP3 or FD2 Civic Type R and either the DC5 Integra Type R - and maybe even the return of the Acura Integra Type R '01. Plus the CRX could be neat, too, not to mention the Del Sol and CR-Z! And while it's a kei car, the Today G looks awesome, and could be a neat FF Honda kei car to go up against the MR drivetrains of the Beat and S660.

EDIT: Oh my stars, how did I forget the Mitsubishi Eclipse? Yeah, I think the first two generations would be great, not just the more famous 2nd-gen model.

EDIT2: Upon further research, I suppose the Eclipse may or may not fit into the "JDM FF" niche, as one of the highest trims for both the first and second-generation models is AWD rather than FF. That being said, it does seem like the 3rd and 4th-gen models only came with FF drivetrains, so there's that. Meanwhile, when it comes to each of those first two generations, the GSX trim - which comes with AWD - doesn't necessarily offer more horsepower than the GS-Turbo trims, so as far as I can tell, the only difference is FF vs. AWD.

EDIT3: At any rate, the 5th-gen Mitsubishi Mirage that's been in previous GT games could be a nice pick. The Mirage Cyborg ZR '97 in particular seems very interesting - it's got over 170 HP while only weighing around 1,060 kg!

EDIT4: I think we could use more sport sedans in general, Japanese or not. For example, the 4th-gen Ford Taurus SHO, the BMW M5 (E60) or the newer Acura Integra Type-S. Plus the ultra-rare Toyota Century GRMN, or the similarly-exclusive Nissan Skyline GT-R (R33) Autech Version 40th Anniversary. The Jaguar XFR could be very cool, too, as well as the Volvo 850!

my main wishlist request would be for PD to break up the current classes for race cars into smaller, more historically accurate groups. then focus on adding cars to fill out the new groups with the fewest options (Hypercars, Group 5, GTE). i think smaller categories could make for a better BoP, add single player content in the form of new menus/races for each class, and improve the variety of races in sport mode.

Group1 would split into 5 Groups

LMH/LMDh
LMP '15-'16
LMP '10-'12
VGT
Group C

Group 2 splits into 3

GT500 '08
GT500 '16 (or Class 1 Touring Cars to include the DTM Audi RS5)
GT1 '97-'98

Group 3 is tricky since it has a few cars that would be the only one in their category. maybe merge the two GT1 groups.

GT3 (could possibly even be 2 groups, one for GT3 cars from '15 and earlier and one for '16 to current)
GT3 (fictional/VGT)
GT1 (post 2000)
GT1 (pre '97)
GTE
JGTC GT500
Group 5

Group 4 splits into 3

GT4 (maybe also a fictional GT4, but that would be most of the group, since the Cayman is the only officially scanned GT4 afaik)
TCR
'90s DTM

also make a '60s le mans group for the Ford MkIV GT40, the Ferrari 330 P4, and the Porsche 917k. and categories for the Super Formula cars, and one for the two F-3500s.

and finally as well as adding menu books/events for each new class, allow players to pick from the new, smaller groups when making custom races, so that i don't need to buy multiple copies of each car if i want to set up a race with just one group.
