It seems that making wishlists is a particularly popular hobby for many of you :D

No matter what the thread may be, someone, somehow, seems to shoehorn a list of cars and/or tracks that they'd like in the game into it - and we have more than one thread that's basically a wishlist with extra steps (all-new cars, fantasy cars, pick your DLC pack, etc.).

So... now you can post them in this thread.

We're going to need some ground rules though...

Firstly, bear in mind GTPlanet's FAQ: our rules "remind everyone to put a little more thought into what they’re contributing to the community. In turn, this creates a more pleasant and attractive place for everyone."

We'd like to see things into which some thought has gone, so please don't make excessive lists. If you're posting every Ford Fiesta ever made, every track in France, or a list of 1800 cars/250 tracks, or cars already in the game, you're not really doing that. Please keep your posts to a reasonable length; think about things you'd really want, if someone was holding you at knifepoint for a quick answer.

GTPlanet has an extensive Suggestions forum area.

You can use this for some guidance if you like, but it would also be a great idea to upvote anything you post in here over there too; there is some good evidence that the higher up those lists a car/track is, the more likely it is to get some priority attention from PD.

There is no requirement to not select something that someone else has already selected. It's not reasonable to expect every response to be unique.

However there is a requirement not to crap on other people's selections and preferences. People may post whatever they like in their choices (per the above). If you don't like it, tough: it's not your wishlist.

Have fun - and don't be the person who spoils it for everyone...

First off all : I hope this thread will have a lot of attention from PoDy!

I will start I guess :

Cars (every car existing :D ) :
-Aston Martin AMR DTM '19
-BMW M4 DTM '19
-Corvette C8 GT3
-BMW M5 F90
-Toyota Minolta 88C
-Toyota GT-one (road and race car)
-Nissan R390 GT1 (road and race car)
-BMW 507 Roadster
(and a lot more, I wish I could list all of them...)

Tracks (every track existing :D) :
-Sebring
-Paul Ricard
-Weather on existing tracks

*ENDURANCE RACES/Chili races
on every track (Half the GT4 career mode on GT7 would be enough to make it the best car game of all time).
*The main problem in this game is the lack of events (and the economy...): We do have a lot of wonderful cars, but no event to use them

I think I did a realistic wishlist (and I hope i'm not offtopic)

That's it. That's all I want from the game right now. The Calsonic GTR.

Oh and for the Nismo 400R to not cost 1.8mill in game 'cause I don't have that much.

My 2 cents (all come down to personal taste and what I can get by the memory at the moment)

Cars:
  • Opel Calibra team phoenix (DTM from Gran Turismo 4)
  • Opel Astra (DTM from Gran Turismo 4)
  • Toyota GT One
  • Lotus Elise Race Car '99 (from Gran Turismo 6)

Tracks:
  • Midfield Raceway
  • Tokyo R246 (highly unlikely I know, with so many Tokyo street tracks)
  • Circuito de La Sierra (from Gran Turismo 6. Perfect track for chilling and cruising. Paddock?!)

Features:
  • Classic BGM tracks dlc pack, and the option to select what will be played and where (what section of the map) will be played
  • An extensive Endurance Menu book, preferably replicanting old classic races from previous games.

  • Citroën C4 Cactus '14
  • DS 9 '21
  • Peugeot 504 Break 2.0 '79

I’d love to see an IROC-Z Camaro in this game, which I know we’ve seen in concept form in a couple of previous games. One of the most attractive cars ever made for me. Beautiful. I’ve never driven one so I don’t really know if they’re any good or even particularly interesting. But lust is at least 50% of love anyway

I've never actually thought this through properly before, but why not, it's fun. Top 10 cars I'd personally like (back) in the GT roster going forward:

  • 1999 Ford Puma
1706719294025.png

  • A 7th-gen Toyota Celica
1706719348559.png

  • Nissan Skyline R31 GTS-R
1706719393420.png

  • Any NB Mazda Roadster
1706719462532.png

  • A base, non-R Pagani Zonda
1706719508851.png

  • Tom's Angel T01
1706719538707.png

  • 2000 Lotus Elise
1706719612310.png

  • Renault Clio Williams
1706719677917.png

  • Dome Zero
1706719721636.png

  • Toyota 7
1706719762789.png

And a bonus 3 categories where I don't mind which cars from the group exactly, but I think the category is a hole in the current lineup that would be nice to fill:
  • A low-power entry level open-wheel race car of some kind
  • More real rally cars to go with the Celica ST205
  • Some pre-1995 race cars that aren't top-class Le Mans unicorns

As a member of the user class that has grown accustomed to the challenges of Sport Mode, my desires don't differ much from my peers.

The Gr.2 cast needs to get richer. PD brought the AUDI RS5 DTM '19 to the game, so it's imperative to bring your opponents from the season. Mercedes-AMG didn't have a car in the 2019 season, but the car from the previous year's season would fit perfectly with the BoP adaptation.

Furthermore, considering the fact that PD allocated the second generation of GT1 cars from the 90s in the aforementioned group, perhaps the most glamorized era of GT competitions, I think it is important to bring these cars.

I suggested adding the legendary Dauer 962 LM that raced in the GT1 category at Le Mans in 1994, a category that could be equivalent to the Gr.3 cars. But, considering its stratospheric performance in relation to its competitors, superior even to LMPs, I think that placing it in Gr.2 would be the best decision.

To finish this post about cars, I suggest four cars from the GT2 (GTS) category from the late 90s that would currently be equivalent to the Gr.3 in terms of performance, with emphasis on the legendary Viper Oreca and Corvette C5.R. As well as four more cars from the GT1 category from the 2000s, in which the MC12 and the Ferrari 575 stand out for their looks and results.

18 Cars:
  • Mercedes-AMG C63 DTM '18 (Gr.2)
  • BMW M4 DTM '19 (Gr.2)
  • Aston Martin Vantage DTM '19 (Gr.2)
  • Porsche 911 GT1 Evo '98 (Gr.2)
  • Ferrari F50 GT Race Car '96 (Gr.2)
  • Nissan R390 GT1 '98 (Gr.2)

  • Porsche Dauer 962 LM '94 (Gr.2)
  • Toyota TS020 GT-One '99 (Gr.2)
  • Panoz Esperante GTR-1 (Gr.2)
  • Lotus Elise GT1 '98 (Gr.2)
  • Dodge Viper Oreca GTS '00 (Gr.3)
  • Lister Storm GTS '00 (Gr.3)
requests13.png

  • Porsche 911 993 GT2 Evo '97 (Gr.3)
  • Chevrolet Corvette C5.R '00 (Gr.3)
  • Maserati MC12 GT1 '05 (Gr.3)
  • Ferrari 575 GTC Evoluzione '05 (Gr.3)
  • Saleen S7-R GT1 '05 (Gr.3)
  • Chevrolet Corvette C6.R '05 (Gr.3)

  • Road America (2 layouts)
  • Potrero de Los Funes (2 layouts)
  • Brasília (2 layouts)

1. The fact that it is the first track mentioned by me in this thread is no coincidence. It is perhaps the best track in Europe. Almost every corner is taken in third and fourth gear at an incredible downhill pace.

2. Of the tracks built in this century, Algarve is perhaps the best. The presence of the Portuguese roller coaster in GT7 is a categorical imperative.

3. Inje is the best Korean track and one of the three best in Asia, if not the best. It's incredible how little is said about this track. Its layout and setting have everything to do with the Polyphony Digital vibe.

4. Lausitzring for several reasons. Firstly, GT needs more oval circuits, and Lausitzring has a non-generic oval circuit. Secondly, it has several excellent road course variations, including the speed test oval.

5. Of the ten drivers on the world circuit who raced in Macau, ten put Macau in the trio of favorite circuits. The circuit is the Nordschleife in the city. Despite some narrow sections, I believe that, with some greater rigor in the ghost feature, the circuit would be great for Sport Mode, and fantastic in time attack.

6. It's the best road course in the USA, in my opinion. I consider it heresy that this circuit never appeared in the main motorsport game. It would certainly be one of the favorites of the online GT7 community.

7. South America needs more representation in GT. And I think that the city circuit with more of the soul of Polyphony's original race track would be the best to fulfill this role after Interlagos. If PD likes landscapes, elevation change, fast curves so much, this track is one of the best.

8. A personal choice. The circuit in the Brazilian capital is one of the favorites of almost all Brazilian pilots. Despite its kart track-like layout, the circuit is over five kilometers long, fast and has an outer ring.

Tracks:
I'd like to see some more regions represented. So I'd vote for
  • Kylami (though I think licensing will get in the way of that)
  • Bahrain (as it can have two or more layouts)
Selfishly I'd also like more Hill Climbs to give us another activity to do. Therefore I'd like to see:
  • Goodwood Hill Climb
  • Pikes Peak (obviously)
  • Something Asia/Oceania though I’ve not decided on which one
  • Citti Di Aria - I know this was a circuit before but that gives it the flexibility to be used in races too

Cars:
I don’t really have any strong opinions on these as I quite like the roster of cars we have now although it’s missing some more recent models of brands. Of course I’d like lotus to come back and the new Le Mans cars but I expect licensing to get in the way of that. Really my list contains some F1 cars which is not really appropriate for the game but I’ve gone for the missing generations (two from the same generation)
  • Tyrell P34 (6 Wheeler 70’s F1 Car)
  • Maserati 250F (50’ F1 Car)
  • Mercedes W196 (50’ F1 Car)
  • Ford Fiesta ST - I feel like this is missing when you have the Clio in the game
  • Cadillac GTP Hypercar - fits both the LM & IMSA camps
  • Oreca LMP2 car - maybe a bit too late now but this would’ve been great for liveries and Le Mans fans

Phillip Island GP Circuit

Comments:
I grew up on Gran Turismo, so to me, the most glaring omissions from GT7 are those we already know and love. The GTOne, R390 & Tokyo R246 especially, have been GT Staples for generations. Seeing the Escudo and Grand Valley arrive (somewhat) recently gives me some hope.

As for the other requests, we’ll, I’m an Aussie. Adelaide was Ayrton Senna’s favourite circuit, and having driven it, it’s high risk, close wall layout would be a rather unique inclusion.

The Gen3 Supercars are a great package and it would be mutually beneficial (to series & developer) to have them in Gran Turismo. The Aussie road cars represent the pinnacle of each brand and have already become significant collectors items. The Japanese road cars are a natural fit for the game… I simply don’t understand why we don’t already have an Evo 8.

That was fun, hopefully some ideas from this thread appear in game soon!

Got a few european classics I'd like to see
Ford Escort Mk2

Opel Kadett

Opel Kadett GSI

Audi Ur Quattro

Ford RS200

Some 90's Touring cars please like the Nissan Primera, BMW E36, Opel Vectra (Vauxhall Cavalier), Ford Mondeo, Peugeot 405,... super fast production race cars

Please this beauty, or otherwise the original Lancia 037.
Kimera EvO37

And well duh, bring the Mercedes SLK into the game please, it has been there before.

Speaking of my SLK, just give us more events but in race cup style. Race parts allowed and some tuning. All the same car and just goooo :)

And then as a track I would just really want Zandvoort, I've raced on Spa-Francorchamps, Nurburgring GP, Zolder, Meppen and Assen but Zandvoort is the number 1 track out of all of those (my experience in my race car off course)

PDI could add, in addition to the first version of the Porsche 911 GT1 (1996), the other rivals of the McLaren F1 GTR '95, which competed in the BPR Global Series.
  • Ferrari F40 GTE '96 (Gr.3)
  • Toyota SARD MC8-R '96 (Gr.3)
  • De Tomaso Pantera GT1 '95 (Gr.3)
  • Lotus Esprit GT1 '96 (Gr.3)
  • Jaguar XJ220 GT1 '95 (Gr.3)
  • Bugatti EB110 SC '95 (Gr.3)
  • Venturi Atlantique 600LM '95 (Gr.3)
  • Lamborghini Diablo Jota GT1 JLOC '96 (Gr.3)
requests4.png
requests4.1.png

As I mentioned in another topic, PDI's "fish out of water" policy is frustrating, when it brings a car from one universe and inserts it into another environment, completely disconnected from its habitat.

Of course, the those cars don't have the same performance as modern GT3s, as can be seen the McLaren GT1 '95 during the game. But this would be completely circumvented by hashtag mechanisms, making the appropriate division in the Gr.3 class.

Four of the eight cars mentioned above were in Gran Turismo 2.

Furthermore, by way of poetic license, PDI could bring the Mercedes CLK-GTR '97 and add it to the Gr.3 class, diverging from the CLK-LM of Gr.2.

It wouldn't be absurd at all, because the record for GT3 cars at Donington Park is held by the McLaren 720 GT3 with a time of 1:24.977, broken last year. The Mercedes CLK-GTR had a time of 1:23.854 in 1997. A BoP service would adapt the CLK-GTR to the Gr.3.

Mercedes-Benz_CLK_GTR_at_Goodwood_2014_001.jpg

By the way, Donington Park is a fantastic circuit. I believe PDI would have no difficulty adding it to the GT7. Its landscape is not difficult to work with and Donington's licensing is taken care of by the same company that takes care of Brands Hatch (if I'm not mistaken).
