GTA Forum: Requests and Discussion

40 cm is pretty damn small! 36 inch for me (about 90 cm). We got the "Question..." all figured out, so we decided to talk about television screen sizes in this thread. Makes perfect sense!

Edit: I'm now a GTP Enthusiast! Yay!

This is just a Random question thread I guess.

I know, 40cm sucks. The TV I'm getting soon is 80cm I found out. I want that bad.

My parents are replacing it with a Projector, which will be like 2m x 1m. I'll test that out one day.

I use my 25" flat screen, i find it quite a good size, not to large that the graphics suffer but not small that you have to sit real close to.

Has anyone had this happen, when you travel beyond los santos and go into a diferent city you all of a sudden have your wanted level at max?

Well it doesn't block you essentially, it just deters you and makes it hard.

I actually hate the Roadblock, because cars can't drive between Islands. They should have made a warning for CJ over a Megaphone telling him to leave in 10 seconds, or just put the stars up 1 star every 10 seconds until it reaches 4, when he enters San Fierro.

That would've been better, and letting cars drive between Cities.

I think the road blocks are good. Rockstar obviously doesn't want you exploring past Los Santos in the beginning, but if the road blocks weren't there, you could probably use a car to get to the other cities before the cops catch you. I actually like the idea of restricting the area that you can roam in, until you get further along in the storyline. IMO.

It's just a way to try and make people have the full experience of the game when they play it. I mean alot of people wouldn't do the missions if they could go everywhere straight away.

Yeah exactly what i thought, also it would'nt be GTA if they didnt have unlockable areas its what makes the game more exciting,'THE UNKNOWN".

You've all misunderstood what I said. I said to RESTRICT it, but let other cars drive around. The idea of the storyline is that Officers Tenpenny and Polaski are "Parolling" CJ, so they are keeping him in Los Santos. What I was saying was to get rid of the Roadblocks, to let other cars drive between Cities. Read what I post again, this was what I meant to do in place of the Road Blocks, but I'll edit it to make it a little more clear:

They should have made a warning for CJ over a Megaphone telling him to leave in 5 seconds or the SWAT comes after him, OR just put the stars up 1 star every 10 seconds until it reaches 4, when he enters San Fierro.
That's what I was saying. I like the restrictions. What Blake said: "It's just a way to try and make people have the full experience of the game when they play it. I mean alot of people wouldn't do the missions if they could go everywhere straight away." is what I have said a thousand times before. That's what I was saying.
emad
how do you take over territory in the game as 87chevy said you can in the other thread?
Head over to the Official Mission Help Thread and ask the question there. ;)

Jimmy, here is the important part of my post above:

I don't believe there is any other way that the game could successfuly restrict you to the first island, without having road blocks. Your method would make it easier to roam the "prohibited" area. I know that there are still ways to "get past" the road blocks, but they at least slow you down. I also realize that you're saying it'd be more realistic without the road blocks and it would go with the storyline better, which is a good point that I can't argue with. ;)

Actually, I don't really know why I'm discussing this, I don't really care about the damn road blocks!

Yeah, I've come across 2. I really don't care for San Fierro yet. It would probably end up blowing my head up with just everything. I'm still dumbfounded by Los Santos and the Country there.

Hahaha, stop highlighting in red, that's my colr
Actually, I highlighted your quote in red, because it's your colour. ;)

But you also highlighted some of your quote in red ;). I'm annoyed I don't have this game, I feel so out of the loop *sigh*..

Oh, sorry. Red is the default colour when Editing things in Quotes.

And you'll be fine when you get into the game. It's just now that you feel out of the loop. Don't worry. It'll come soon enough. ;)

Is it possible to use car washes in this game? They dont work for me?

I read a review before I got the game and it said you go through carwashes to stop your car from rusting.

COuld just be website bollocks that they've made up/inferred from their presence in screenshots...

A lot of them reckoned that Fuel would be in the game but I don't think it is!!

C.

Fuel is only in for that model plane on the second zero mission, even then its just time based not by how much throttle.

Fuel is not in the game. It was a speculation, not a confirmation. Where are the Car Washes? I found one, but I can't find it again. Are there more in the other Cities?

How do you make gangs, is there a certain amount of respect needed. And how do i gain respect i have like 10% of my bar filled. It breifly said once that i wsa allowed to create a gang but i tried. I read the whole manual and found on the back cover like push up on dpad 1 to assign members once more to command them and hold down to release them.

You have to get to the point in the game where you can recruit, the game will tell you when, Then you have to lock on to them and press the dpad (up I think? I forgot)

Well I don't think you have to be up to a certain point. Just go up to an OGF gangster, hold R1 (without a weapon), target them and press Up on the D-Pad. To get them to stay where they are, target them again and press Down on the D-Pad. To get them to follow you again, target them once more and press Up on the D-Pad.

Anyway, I'm changing the name of this Thread. I'm going to make this a Thread for requests about the actual Forum. There are plenty of help Threads, and 1 General Help Thread on its way.

JIM! Is this the SA general disscusion thread now?, (I know i was suposed to create it but ive been sooo busy with work and getting through SA that i hav'nt had the time to spend in here.)
Cause if it is i think you need to move or delete a heap of threads, especially ones that could find a warm and happy home here.

No, this is the Forum for Requests and Discussion about the Forum, not the game. I gave it this name, as this is what it basically was to begin with, but people started posting anything here.

I would like you to create your thread as soon as possible, if that's okay with you. You only need to create it, you don't need to do anything with it for a while. Just create the Thread, explain a few things, and post links to the Off-Topic Thread and 3 Mission Help Threads (because your Forum will be about the General Game, not the Missions).

Thanks.
