GTA Forum: Requests and Discussion

Okay, just to explain a couple of things. Someone has informed me (I won't name who) that they think alot of people will think I am becoming "Power-Hungry" as I have closed 3 Threads today.

Now I know I have closed a few Threads, but that was in the interest of cleanliness and to slow things down a bit. I have a General Discussion Thread up, and I would like a lot of the Miniature Threads to go here.

I am not becoming Power Hungry, trust me. My job was to help organise this Thread alot while this game becomes popular.

Now I'm not angry or upset at all, I'm just reminding people where to post certain things, and trying to organise this Forum. If my comments come across as angry or upset, please disregard that feel unless it is bleedingly obvious. I am never upset because a little thread has popped up here and there.

Also, this person would like those little threads to stay because they don't want to search all the pages of the Mission Help Threads or Discussion Threads, etc. Well, I am going to tell you, you can ask for help with any mission at any time, provided a discussion about that is not on that same page.

To this particular person: I am in no way annoyed by what you have mentioned, in fact, I like these little reminders from time to time, so I can stop and check what I am doing and try to avoid aggravating users. So thank you.

Also, I am sorry to all I have inconvenienced or aggravated because of this. I am truly sorry if this has upset you, and if it has, don't hesitate to mention it to me. Via PM would be nicer. ;)

Sorry for this,
Jimmy.

I think the ones you closed are fine... I'm a mod at another board though... maybe you could have just merged the topics together so they didn't get lost...

C.

Yeah. I'm not too sure how to use that. Might give it a try next time (can't be bothered re-opening it). Jordan said he's never used the Merge Tool either.

I'll give it a try though, thanks.

Make two threads and add some posts...

Then merge them... That'll teach you everything you need to know I reckon?!

The only problem being is that your first post would need to be older than the rest of the posts to be a header for it (I guess you could've taken an old topic that was useless and stripped it out for this end...)

C.

EDIT: Oh yeah... and delete them afterwards... wouldn't want people accusing you of spam!!

Yeah, I talked to Jordan about this, and he said don't worry about using it. It really doesn't matter too much. Usually the Threads I close, I answer the question anyway, otherwise I tell them to ask again in the Thread I direct them too.

I don't really think it's too much of a big deal, but I have been informed by a certain member, and I was worried alot of other people felt this way.
