Just FYI. I've been playing for the last 2 hours and all of my money, lvl, ect. seems to be saving. I left online and went back to story mode, then back to online as well and all of my earned money is there.

Is it possible that Rockstar is able to update the game without patches now? Sort of like what PD is able to do in GT6? I used to just pawn somewhere in my car when I left my garage, and now I am actually driving out if the garage and in my driveway. It does it everytime for me now.
Yes. Rockstar has been doing many updates behind the scenes without updates. Actually quite a few developers make updates without patches. Especially if you run off of their servers. Halo does this EVERY week without patches. Forza also makes changes without patches. BF3/BF4 makes changes like this too behind the scenes without patches. ME3 also made MANY changes to the online co-op mode without patches.

None of those. Nevertheless, each update - so far - has ruined something, at least in my opinion. :P
While the updates do ruin something, they have also made a LOT of positive improvements. $0 for passive mode, death does not cost $2,000 its only $500, free beach bum pack, the Sandking is actually a true 4x4 truck now, you can run in your house, along with MANY other positive changes most people take for granted. Remember when the game first came out and people could not even play online? This game has come a LONG way since launch.

My only major complaint is how long it has taken for heists. BUT on the other hand, the longer it takes, the more stable heists will be. I also blame a lot of that on the people glitching, cheating, hacking, and manipulating the game. So I will keep waiting patiently. Hopefully the more time the heists take, the less bugs it will have.

What were we promised that we don't have besides heists?

The way R* described multiplayer to be like was having the world divided into different areas with people, where if you were cruising along a highway, you could see a deathmatch or look at the mountains and you'd see a street race going on. They made it seem like an epic game with endless possibilities. There are endless possibilities, but with what R* is doing, they keep removing things instead of adding things that people want.

I can see it now

>Heists come out
>Massive GTP crew Heist
>Kitten gets picked as getaway driver
>Pull off sucessful heist
>Getaway Vehicle
>DOO DA DOO DA DOOO BANANA BUS
>everyone dies

Well,

I approve.

And then there's the Police Buffalo that was shown about 10,000 times in the online trailer, yet never actually spawns online. There was a red Cheetah that was broken into in the city, when Cheetahs don't even spawn on the streets.
GTA Online has a long way to go before it even comes close to being what was promised.
The first thing that ruined it was implementing microtransactions. What? Our $60 for the game wasn't enough for you? Then there's removing things that didn't need to be removed. Now this isn't too bad, unless you include the fact that WE WERE NOT WARNED IN ADVANCE. I'm talking about vehicles such as the Seminole, clean Rebel, Rat-Loader, and rusty Emperor being removed in a game called *ahem* Grand Theft Auto. Players sunk hundreds of thousands of dollars they rightfully earned into these cars, only for them to be removed without warning, causing many players to be broke without a way to earn back the money that they spent tuning these vehicles. I myself owned a Seminole and a Rat-Loader. There was no legit reason from Rockstar as to why they were removed. Saying it's a utility vehicle is clearly an answer they pulled out of their ass. The real reason why they were removed was because people had Rat-Loaders with a missing bed (just the cab).
The same could be said about the inability to store police vehicles. Why design so many amazing police vehicles if A) We can't store them and B) Some don't even appear online?
And don't give me an answer like "It has sirens which move traffic out of the way! That makes it game-breaking.". Do you honestly think that a police car could keep up with a hypercar such as the Entity XF or Adder? Of course not!
Rant over. In conclusion, Rockstar seemed to have run out of ideas, and have resorted to verifying crap jobs, that pointless LS Car Show, and removing things that did no damage to online.

All of these things were promised for Online? I wonder how early on they found out how difficult all of that stuff would be to get working flawlessly.

I don't really mind the way Rockstar did their micro transactions. Don't get me wrong, I think micro transactions should be outlawed but, purchasing in game money isn't vital to having fun so, I don't really mind all that much.

Today I saw a Mananana-na na, na for the first time as far as I reckon. Never was a big fan of it but since it's THAT rare I replaced my drugdealer black Picador with the Mananana. Neat car.

Well, I decided to update my minigun spam fest deathmatch, otherwise known as "dm_hotdog" today.

I wanted to create a fun little race with lawn mowers or Airtugs inside a parking garage. But no, Rockstar had to ruin that as well. Apparently, checkpoints are cylinders that reach up to the sky limit, THEREFORE MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO PLACE A CHECKPOINT ON TOP OF ONE ON ANOTHER LEVEL OF THE PARKING GARAGE. I'm not even bothered by the invisible circle around each checkpoint, that makes you space them out more. What I AM mad about is that I can't place checkpoints in the same area on the next level.

The idea for this race came from a GTA IV video. The players constructed a custom track inside a parking garage using the trainer you can download for the PC version.

So apparently R* has capped cash at 10 million, good thing to keep in mind the people hoping for Mansions

Really? I'm surprised they didn't have a cap at the beginning. Surely they know that they're making a game for current generation consoles and know that hackers are everywhere.

They have been doing this for quite sometime not (Since v1.07, I think).

There were people complaining about money and rp being lost. I've now lost a second vehicle just randomly. This has never happened until 2 days ago when I lost my Sandking. I just returned to my garage and my Bike has now gone missing. It says the same thing as the Sandking (Destroyed) But, i can't calls Mors Mutual and get it back despite both being fully insured.
