The Lost & Damned did allow you to hit opponents with baseball bats when you were in a race. Also, glad you like my bike! :D

I never really played GTA IV beyond the normal story line, I never had any expansion packs.:indiff:

That's ok. If you want to see some bloody aluminum bat face smashing, just watch some "Bat Battle" videos on YouTube by GTAmissions. It's a custom game mode created by one of his friends and it gets really hectic inside the "arena."

Episodes from Liberty City were the best part of GTA IV.

I have the complete edition, but I never bothered trying to complete all three episodes. Maybe I'll do that as a goal for the summer. Play through each episode. Well, I know how they all end because stupid me thought I would never be able to play them, so I read up on everything in those games.

I had traded up to the complete edition as well. TBoGT and TLaD are definitely worth playing, even if you know the outcome.

The organised events in GTA IV multiplayer are awesome. Busted, Zombie Rush, King Of The Barge, Demolition Derbies are just so much fun. GTA Online events of same sort are just not as fun for whatever reason. I'm really looking forward to seeing more organised events/meets here on GTP. I often join the events on nextgengta but the contingent there is just full of total knobheads and trolls. Even the so called "elite" are a bunch of annoying tarts. It's such a joy to play with the GTP fellas where you know that people are mature and friendly. 👍

I agree. TBOGT was by far the best part of GTA4. It even brought parachutes to the game which should have been there at launch.

Other than that I prefer EVERYTHING about GTA5. I look at GTA4 as a beta for the GTA5 online.

But GTA 4's online is more fun that what we have today. Back then, there was no such thing as GTA$.

I disagree 100% but that's just my opinion. I would never ever touch GTA4 online ever again after playing GTA5 online. I seriously don't even put them anywhere near the same category. Just not even close at all IMO.

Or crews, apartments, owning cars, customizing cars, clothing options, character creation, contact missions, planes, owning air vehicles, bounties, gang hideouts...
Yes exactly! Along with well over 100+ 2-8 player co-op missions, PLANES, online store, and SOO MUCH MORE. Seriously GTA4 and GTA5 online are not even comparable. GTA5 is miles ahead IMO.

Why the 🤬 don't tanks pay insurance even when they blast you with a cannon?

Tanks cost a lot of money, surely we can't be expected to pay insurance on other people's cars as well? :D

If you are a twanker here's a tip, if you see somebody approaching you stop the tank and blow them up, won't cost a penny in insurance. If you are moving when you blow them up you have to pay. :(

To be fair, some people deserve to get blasted by the Rhino's cannon. If I'm off in Grapeseed blowing up cops like crazy, and some random nutjob decides to travel ALL THE WAY to Grapeseed just to mess with me, I'm going to blow them up. Between making the effort to come to me, as well as begin attaching stickies or shooting my tank, clearly you deserve it.
On the other side of the spectrum, tank griefers who repeatedly attack others for no reason usually result in my dialing up for a mugger so the mugger can hijack the tank from the griefer without any warning. :mischievous:
Also, Lazer jets are completely out of control now, thanks to Blind-Eye. When I sp2mp'd a car, the lobby I was in was absolutely packed with Lazer jets trolling everyone. I was thankful to be up at Beeker's to track+insure my custom Mariachi Tornado.

I still want that PSN chat invite, because currently it's so frustrating when I can barely get in contact with the rest of the crew, and thus I tend to get race invites only when I'm not available. WAAAAAAAAAAAA

I guess it could be called hypocritical as I was on my way to get a jet, and he was camping outside the Zancudo tunnel, blasted me as I went past in my Turismo.

Thing is, the Tank requires zero skill to operate, whereas you have to be fairly decent in a jet to get someone. It's a lot easier to get away from a jet than a tank as well IMO, if it's night then turn your lights off, or steal a plain coloured car and slip away.

Ugh. I can't get the SP-MP glitch to work no matter how many times I try. Can anyone spawn some Franklin Buffalos for me? :(

I suggest survivals with a full team of crew members, I really got my general combat skills developed last night after me and @neljack worked almost flawlessly as a team at Boneyard. ;)

What exactly is going wrong? I found that at the final stage of the glitch (signing out and in while joining a game) if you either can't join a game properly or won't sign in, you can press the PS button again to further lag the game to allow the PS3 to sign in properly, which seems to help with joining an online session. This apparently was a common problem, so try lagging the game some more if need be.

Signing in and out on the first bump. I've tried it as soon as I confirm, just past the first bump, etc. I'm on a wired, and have tried signing out and pulling the cable.

I just found out there were two variants of the Stratum. One with a lip and one without. Now to figure out how to acquire one.

The Lazer can take only so much damage aswell. A single heavy sniper bullet at the engine and it starts cutting off, whereas you can drop a tank from the ceiling of the map and there's not a scratch. To be honest I find it heaps easier to escape from a griefing tank than a griefing jet. In a case of a tank you just go to passive mode, get in a car behind a corner and just outrun it. You can't outrun a jet though, ofcourse that depends on how skilled the pilot is. If it's just some scrub spamming rockets then you can just stand in the middle of an empty field and he'll miss every shot. But if it's someone who knows what he's doing then ofcourse a plain coloured car and headlights off is a plus, but definitely doesn't guarantee a successful escape. When you're flying and attacking a ground object, you don't really try to spot it on the main screen because you're too high (high as high up in the sky :sly:) and use the blips on the minimap a lot more for locating your targets. The best you can do is to find tunnels, bridges, sewers, alleys, parking lots to protect you from above. Making a lot of turns around tall buildings also helps a lot. When I'm in the "Mouse" team in Top Fun missions, I do all of that - take a black car, turn headlights off, stay away from wide open main roads, do a lot of turns around the downtown and hope that the "Hunters" suck at flying

Anyway, jets now are the new tanks pretty much. I still remember full lobbies of tanks when they just became easily obtainable. Now scrubs got bored of it and probably realised the disadvantages of tanks, so they moved to the better thing. Shame that a lot of good pilots are griefing poptarts. Good thing there's still GTP Anti-troll Squad. Fighting militant online scrubs since 2014. :sly:

In Top Fun I've just resorted to kamikaze techniques, or landing on the road and locking on as the come at me
