Perhaps someone can help me... I'm getting the "files required to play GTA ONLINE" message and I've already reinstalled all the updates. What to do?

I'm getting the exact same thing..
 
Got over 200 k in 2 hours of playing just random jobs and races, ranked up a bit and added some people. I wish GTPers weren't grinding or glitching all the time.

I decided to be nice and deliver people's vehicles to them from the impound lot and a group of people who had just been fighting a couple of randoms gave me $9k. Online can be so much more fun than just mindlessly killing people. :D

This is why there needs to be a friendly fire off mode! In GTA IV, it was great because no matter what other players did, they couldn't kill you! That is, unless they were hackers and teleported you to the top of the map without a parachute or spawned a bus over your head to crush you.
 
That was the most fun I've EVER had on GTA... EVER!

11 of us drove across the Map, camped on the beach, and drove all the way back after a long day of hiking, and chuteing. Then we went to the pier for a day, then BUDUP BUDUP BANANA BUS, then we partied for awhile at my place, then fought randoms, then skydove.

Total GTA Time of fun: ~5 days

Fun factor: 110/100

I'm making a Roadtrip Club OP right now!

Because you had le Wild PeteWheet in the room, causing mayhem when possible. All the mayhem started with me and Jahgee after Jahgee ramming into my car 3 times, which I retaliated... and then it sort of slowly degraded to having me kamikazi by car into your jet twice.

Yeah... Don't do that.

There is already a banned list for the club after tonight's actions.
 
Anyway, guess I should apologize for being an idiot in the session, but you have to admit that I added an excitement to that game that would definitely not be there without me.

Anyway, next time you do this @nascarfan1400, can we do it in a regular aim session and not free aim?
 
So here's a story I don't mind telling, and it includes an apology from R* for accusing me of being an RP cheat.

About a week ago I opened a ticket with R* support about 2 things:

1) Free aim lobbies were always empty after the latest patch
2) My online character's picture on Social Club was not updating

I got a reply a day later from a chap called Erick, this is all it said:

So, from that I inferred that Erick had looked at my account, saw I was a very high rank and thought I was cheating RP somehow but didn't elaborate. Now I was quite shocked at this, anyone who knows me knows I hate cheats at online games, and that I have no life and play GTA a lot and have never cheated. Erick never even offered any advice about the problems I had contacted R* about. So, I replied to Erick and stated he was wrong about the RP, I got no answer so posted another reply but got no answer to that either.

However, today Erick got back to me with a very different post, here's what he had to say to me:

As it happens, my online character's picture on SC has still not updated and free aim lobbies are still empty 95% of the time but at least now I feel somewhat vindicated. So thanks to Erick from R*, kinda made my day. Good to know that the 1613 hours I have put into this game online was not for naught. For the record I am now rank 606 and plan on stopping at 1000.

606? Mother of god. Though it's funny how R* put a rank cap at a ridiculous 1000 as saying "lol have fun with your efforts" and don't believe themselves that someone manages to get close to that :lol:
