I left when they voted for Last Team Standing. I hate that kind of stuff. Deathmatch, LTS, Team Deathmatch, I don't enjoy them. I enjoy Races, Survivals, and Co-op missions. If I wanted to kill other players online, I'd play Call Of Duty, but I don't.
That's just my opinion though. If you like that sort of stuff, then that's alright. Personally, it's not my cup of tea.

Also I have a question, how come some of the crew tags appear next to names all square edged and others are like this?

The reason is there is a background layer that needs to be set to 'transparent' to remove the square box around the emblem. It's the bottom large colour square on the left side of the Emblem creator on the Social Club. It's not mentioned in the tutorial so I imagine many who are not well versed in graphic design software miss it completely.

Oh, another thing learned today, stealing cars from AI characters while online is probably a bad thing as they can put a bounty on your head and then you're safe from nobody, even those you are doing missions with. :p

Also, anyone know if there's a resource online for getting more information about the apartments in the game? I'd hate to buy one for $200k and then be disappointed in it. Wish you could do a walk through preview or something. They need more photos!

Ask around - I have two different ones on two chars. Others might have different ones.

I can give you a tour - the only thing that varies is the view/location. So it's really up to you.

200k-400k Range you wont be disappointed :p.
 
Thinking the $217k or $223k on Alta St (I think this is where yours is iainoflo) or the $205k at Del Perro Heights. Right now I'm about $15k to $30k short on all those, but won't take me long to get that tonight.
 
Luxury apartments (200k to 400k) are all the same on the inside, only the view changes.
 
And all the 10-car garages are the same, too. And they don't have an awkward layout like the 6-car garages did.

I bought the 217k apartment. Not the best views, but I can't complain. my last one (128k) didn't even have windows :lol:
 
Hate my internet. It's so unstable and I can never join crew members/friends. And it almost always throws me off PSN during the middle of a mission. :grumpy:

The other night, I was on a mission with a Spanish speaking player. I only understand a little Spanish(thanks to a foul mouthed ex girlfriend), but the guy's daughter walked in the room and asked him a question.

He launched into a full on rant, using abusive language I'd never use in front of a child (or a woman for that matter) before telling her to bother her mother instead. Point is, I'd take some childish fart noises over a frightening glimpse into a potentially abusive home any day.

For those who don't know, if you hold down the select button, you can change the chat settings. I changed mine to friends and crew only after that.

I've seen that, but do you know if it's only - say, crew and friends - that can hear you, if you select that option?
 
No idea. It's worth it though. I only wish there was a dark/demon's souls style gesture in the game for more tactical missions.

I've enjoyed what time I have spent online, but some of the prizes/RP seem very inconsistent and it feels disjointed in many places.

I think I'll go on passive mode more often, I just got killed 4 times in a row. I really don't appreciate building up to $120k and then having $8k snatched off of me.

Join or host your own private "friend only" servers. Then you will never be killed by randoms. Players can still ruin your day with passive mode on. As sloth just posted earlier. https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?p=8873973#post8873973 Even with passive mode on, players can still easily destroy your vehicle or kill you if you get out of your car.

On a side note I actually tried deathmatch WITH FRIENDS ONLY last night and had a great time!! Much more fun than playing against randoms. The even better news is you can also unlock the weapon skins this way. 👍

Heard the online heists might get released today. Looking forward to that.
