GTA Online Thread (Useful Links in OP)

Oh, jeez. Excuse me as I beg Rockstar to put something like this in the game. If I can't spend money to fix up a car like this IRL, I need it in a video game.

But it's not a drift car.

Also, the lowest suspension (I forgot what it's called) makes some cars a bit twitchy, so drifting isn't exactly the hardest task.

I've done one of those with a couple friends. Absolutely horrible. I kept getting hit from ten feet away and I would also get hit five times when a person only punched me once. The sound plays, my character spazzes out, my controller shakes, and my character's health goes down with each "ghost" hit.
 
A few observations and general questions.

1, Where is the challenge when people use RPGs in a running battle?
2, Why do guys use female online characters?
3, Aside from "To be annoying", why do people buy tanks?
4, Why doesn't R* fix the stupid bulletproof cars thing?
5, Why do my guns never work as good as everyone elses?

1. None. It's just an easy and cheap kill.
2. Sometimes for perverted reasons. Sometimes because people just feel like it.
3. It is very satisfying to use against someone who annoys you.
4. According to video game logic, everything that isn't glass is bulletproof.
5. Are you getting headshots? Most guns are pretty much equally effective if you know what you're doing.

I can answer a few of these:

3: Police rampages are fun. :D
4: The devs probably check for bulletproof car glitches on YouTube every day (or week) and patch them as soon as they find a way to stop it. Griefers always want the next best way to annoy people. They will find new ways to get a desired result. The only thing R* can do is find the glitch as soon as they can, and prevent people from abusing it.
5: Skip to 0:52

I always go for headshots, it just seems sometimes i spray someone who's right in front of me, and then they just nail me with a shot or two and i'm toast.

It's not just that though, i do understand that higher rankers are harder to kill, it just seems that anyone close or even lower rank than me (77) has some serious shredding guns. It could just be that i'm terrible at the game (which i am) hehe

Hehe, Use more gun...when i can level up to buy a mini gun then everyone better stay out of my way. hehe

Also, i'm not having a go at people who use female characters, I think it's great but just wondered why....Hey, I luuurv the ladies!

Well, I have the Heavy Sniper. Only used it once in an open lobby. Everyone better stay still. No, stop moving. Turn the other way. Don't point your gun at me. Take off that bulletproof helmet. Thank you. *BANG*

Which weapon are you using? I've noticed that a lot of people like to use the advanced rifle which usually shreds through people. The accuracy isn't so great though. I prefer the AR15 (Carbine Rifle).

I prefer the Heavy Sniper because it takes out planes easily.

Well, i have a Carbine and it never seems to kill anyone. Sniper rifle works but i'm too slow to aim with it. I use the AP because it's the easiest.

I think i'll try the Advanced Rifle
 
So, if the Advanced Rifle is the best in the carbine class, should I sell every other carbine I own, including my suppressed gold AK?
 
I don't get the idea of the weaponry in this game.

If only they were to add variety, not as a replacement.

They did it right with shotties before the Heavy Shotgun came in.

Pump shotgun is a single hit killer with great stats all around.
Sawn off is a much more compact option, but can't be silenced.
Assault shotgun is auto and a good go to weapon in CQB range.

The advanced rifle is not a carbine. It's the assault rifle class. Carbines are included because they are pretty much shortened rifles.

Sorry, I'm a nerd.

And no, you shouldn't sell them. The carbines are more accurate and better in some situations.
 
The Special Carbine is superb too! Switching between the Assault Rifle, Carbine and the sniper has almost every base covered.

Can't forget the stickies too hehe

No. Don't stop being a nerd. We need your input so I can learn. You know way more about weapons than I do. My knowledge of guns in a nutshell: "This shoots bullets."
