The only time I would ever play with the radar turned off is if everyone else in the session had their radars turned off too. It's not fair when I'm cruising around, without being able to see where anyone else is, when a tank driver can clearly see me and silently approach.

That's another thing: Why is the Rhino so quiet? Shouldn't a huge vehicle like that make a lot of noise, even when it's not moving?

Lol yes lets make a tank as loud as possible so the enemy knows when we're coming...

Does anyone ever play with the HUD and mini-map turned off?

Sometimes I do if I'm cruising. Usually I only do that if I'm in a lobby on my own or with players I trust. I'll also turn it off if I want to take a screenshot but make it look like a Snapmatic.

The game is no fun is you know where everything is. :P

I've yet to try it in next-gen though. I wanna do it with first person, and with free aim. The game is a lot more interesting that way. :D

I haven't actually touched the graphics settings at all in GTA V now that I think about it. What options are there again?

So, this morning I was checking my twitter feed and-- OH GOD!!!

I get to play with Rockstar Devs and I'm nervous as hell :nervous:

Anybody on PS4 up for playing some missions/survivals to earn some cash ready for Tuesday?

Ok guys, received my PS4 in the mail yesterday and immediately bought the digital version of GTAV (stupidly) without checking the size. After the quick initial download I thought it was ready to play, but as it turns out it still had like 30GB left to go and just hung at the in game install screen.

Now it's currently downloading that 30GB of stuff but I only have like 25GB left on my monthly internet plan. I can't pause it through the notifications>downloads section and when I put it into rest mode it keeps downloading.

So my question is, can I turn it off properly and take it to a friends house with unlimited internet or will that delete the download? I would like to play the game ASAP and having to wait another day for it to get back to it's current level isn't too enthusing.

Thanks guys.

IIRC it pauses if you completely power down, you should be good

Guess being nervous means absolutely nothing you killed that race, awesome win!

Bragging rights, plain and simple.

 It's still unfair to the people actually wanting to see the race.

On another note, I love that everyone made the chat go into "slow mode" because they're all spamming "#RACINGDLC."

Apparently the controller chargers are crap. I can't charge them up without it disconnecting every 5 seconds. I had to leave for my own good so I wouldn't ruin everyone's race. Pretty much when a controller is out of charge, the time to play is over.

The charging ports often become loose over time and the solder gets broken apart from the movement. Common with PS3 controllers. Controllers are a wear item like a racing wheelset. Easiest thing to do is to have two controllers, one plugged in and you play on the other, swapping them as necessary. On the PS4 this is now typical with controller batteries lasting only a few hours while in-use. In short, you need a new controller. Or two.

Yeah I may have to buy a second controller. Oh well the Rockstar stream was fun. I'm most glad that the racing community got the spotlight tonight.

@Doodle
I saw you play earlier and man you were rocking it at the Laguna Seca race (Which I'm going to have to give it a try later on PS3.)
Also it really sucks that your controller died in that race, I was watching it and I was confused on why you dropped down all of a sudden. I would had stayed longer but I couldn't bear that chat anymore.
