I blew some stuff up for science and I can now confirm that it takes 9 sticky bombs to destroy a Riot Van. Keep in mind that other vehicle explosions will do additional damage meaning that it is most vulnerable in areas with heavy traffic.

With that said, it's a recyclable tank-buster.

I've placed a Rhino, Insurgent (Truck) and the Riot Van in a separate spot, to keep their damage values independent.

Grenade Launcher Test - aimed at the front.
Results:

Riot - 1
Insurgent - 3
Rhino - 4

RPG Test - aimed at the front.
Results:

Riot - 1
Insurgent - 3
Rhino - 4

Stickies Test - aimed at the front, placed and detonated one by one.
Results:

Riot - 9
Insurgent & Rhino - 3

Grenades Test - tossed under the vehicle.
Results:

Riot - 1
Insurgent - 3
Rhino - 4

Rhino Barrel called Death- aimed at the front.
Results:

Riot - 1
Insurgent - 2
Rhino - 4

IT WAS ALL A LIE?!

HOW??

SO I GUESS MY REPEATED SPAM OF THE EMP INSURGENT'S HORN WAS NOT FOR NAUGHT?

Silly SPD. Caps lock is for JOHN CENA!

Yeah, pretty obvious I know, but I don't want to be the reason it fails--and for such an unbelievably stupid reason. Thanks.
The delivery is a pain sometimes because the game will occasionally glitch and make a silenced gun go loud which will fail the mission. I've learned that it just happens and to go with it when it does.

Didn't have a problem with EMP Delivery (accidentally accepted invite thinking it was the mission to unlock the Hydra) or the heist itself.

Did a solo race using the Hydra with weapons and wanted levels enabled, and now I'm not sure I really even want it. How useful is the Hydra, really? Sure, it's faster than my Buzzard and Savage combined, and it has the explosive rounds like the Savage, but a dead hover is a huge pain (unless I'm doing something wrong
*) and rocket fire rate is just like that of the Lazer. Big chunk of cash to unload to get it, too.

The Hydra isn't suited for combat while in vertical flight mode. It's an attacker jet, so it's best used against ground targets, since it can't shake missiles from a P-996 Lazer, a fighter jet.

I'm better in air with a Hydra than I am with a Lazer since I fly my Hydra a lot, but it really comes down to how often it'll be used. If you're actually going to use it often, buy it (I use mine quite often since I always seem to be in public lobbies with jets at some point or another when I'm in public), but if you won't use it a lot, use the $3M on something else.

To hover you simply press the Right directional on the D-pad and this engages the vertical thrusters. It's easy enough you can leave it hovering and walk away for several minutes.

The plane was more useful when the Lester Target, Smuggler Planes, and Gerald vehicle Blow-Ups were much more common, as it is the fastest and easiest way to get to these sometimes remote targets. It is still convenient for travel as it is the fastest airplane, but it does give up a bit of maneuverability and can feel lethargic compared to the Lazer and Besra. Most people are surprised at its top speed because it doesn't feel as though you are travelling as fast as you are. The other benefit is the convenience of it. Prior to the Hydra, if I were in Paleto and needed to be somewhere fast the only options were to call a quick land vehicle in, snag a chopper from the cop shop, or drive to Grapeseed to pickup a Besra. Now I can call a Hydra and it spawns in Paleto. I use the Hydra now mostly if I need to be somewhere quickly; I can't recall the last time I fired any of the weapons.

If you are considering the Hydra, keep an eye on the R* Newswire, as they do occasionally discount the price as they did not long ago along with one of the 'event weekends' they have from time to time. In the past it has been discounted 25 and 50% at times.

I spend as little time in public sessions as possible, I was thinking it might be an efficient weapon in missions where air support is helpful/necessary but I rarely encounter foes I can't easily dispatch with my Buzzard, let alone my Savage.

Ohhhhhhhhh--blonde moment--I've been using the hover that's available with landing gear deployed.

Good plan. Given my aforementioned needs, I'll probably keep enough cash on me (nothing I'm really aching to buy except for the Insurgent Pickup--again, it's not really a necessity...just a want) should it be available at a discounted price.

I got mine for half price when it was on offer. Wouldn't pay 3 million but 1.5 is ok.

Time Trial "End to End' From the Docks near Simeon's export garage to Paleto Bay. Looks like it'll be an easy motorcycle course.

Did one of the free mode events. I had to steal cars and was only using my level 5 character. Found out the best way to win them.

1. Cause a huge traffic jam
2. Steal the front car
3. Steal the car behind
4. Repeat step 3 until it's over.

So, ever heard of Kill List?

The one you ride a Heist related aircraft to destroy Merryweather? I'm sure you know that they can come in solo (Hydra), co-op (Valkyrie), or both (Savage).

I don't think I'll ever be more curious when I took part at a Kill List Competitive yesterday. I've never seen 3 Savages in one spot, not shooting each other and gunning down a common enemy before.

Pictures coming... when I get home.
