I'm slowly figuring out how to go faster in GTA stunt races, but still can't work out how some people are so fast even when I factor in I'm not driving a Nero Custom. The lobby I was in earlier was the most competitive I've ever seen - I would make 1 mistake, drop to around 8th and gain a couple places back if I was lucky.

But there was 1 guy who was usually 4-5 seconds a lap quicker than anybody else. The most amazing bit was when I saw him do this... does anyone know how to launch that quickly? :boggled:

(#4 - at 6:38 to 10:48 in the video - in this video is relevant, but you can give the whole video a watch if you'd like) The best explanation I can give, is that the edges of the stunt track props have "curbs". As with all curbs, you can run over them to get a small boost in speed, and those boosts in speed add up to what that guy did. I do this frequently in stunt races, and it helps me to pressure my competition. I'm actually trying to break even on my win/loss ratio in races, and (as of this writing) I'm very close to doing it.

EDIT: Forgot the "Super Boost" - that's where you press down on the gas during the start-of-race countdown, but you let go just as the "1" goes away, and then you step back on it when "GO" pops up to get a big boost off the line.

I was genuinely surprised to discover Online is still accessible on last gen, given the transfer deadline on the 6th.
 
I believe for now it's still up just can't transfer progress nor does it get updates.

I don't see Rockstar shutting the servers down without at least 30 days (according to the startup screen) for last gen.
 
So the Infernus is more Diablo than Countach?

I'm not too displeased with that. As long as you can apply a livery with some two-letter combination on the side, paint that black and have the rest of the car be yellow.

Yes, I'm *that* kind of person.

Aside from that, my bank account is ready.
 
Colours are throwing me off. You expect the Turismo to be red, and the Infernus to be green because Ferrari / Lamborghini.

Infernus looks to be Diablo shape with a Testarossa front light treatment.
God how I wish the Turismo gets an LM upgrade.

I was about to buy a couple of cars in the latest set of discounts, now I'm glad I've not bought them yet and I'll be buying the two classics and the GP1.

Only one truck though. I'd like to see the Bobcat, Sadler, and Bison get the treatment. Along with the Washington, Emperor, and Regina.

There's more than 11 super cars already I'm sure. Do we really need that many? I didn't buy this game to run races.

I think its a reasonably safe assumption that if that day comes, there will be that one person that says "aww man I wish they would add......" :lol:
It's nice that R* are adding stuff the community asks for though.

The Infernus looks like it's based off it's GTA 3 incarnation, hence the weird headlights.

I agree that there will never be enough cars in this game. However if/when the Deluxo is released then that'll be it for me.
