That's because it is. There seems to be a 300 person limit to any crews not created by R*. The bigger problem is that it seems there is no provision for TheKitten to kick people, which is unfortunate, because there are several people taking up spots who have not launched GTA V in either on- or offline modes.

Oh I see the problem, I hadn't linked the R* account to my PSN yet so will see how it goes now.

You won't be able to join if you have your R* account linked or not - the problem is that there are people taking up space in the group who can't be removed, so now the group is full and nobody else can join.

I was doing some racing yesterday called Down the drain.

It pays 9k for the winner, 5k for second place for a single lap (2m26s) in supercars.
 
Those Simeon missions are really annoying if you're just taking a car you want to drive instead of taking it to Simeon. Yesterday I was in my garage trying to decide which car I wanted to drive. I chose to take the Mustang (I think it's called Dominator in game) and as I leave the garage, I get a two star wanted level and apparently it thinks I stole it for Simeon. So I try to outrun the cops, and I end up getting stuck, shot, and killed, and the car impounded. I go to get the car from the impound and as usual I take it to the underground subway station/sewage system because once you're in there, you're gone from the police (FYI, if you have a 3 or more star wanted level, it's an excellent place to go to lose the police). I get the car stuck in the entrance, but I do lose the police, and as I exit the car, it glitches and flies around and catches on fire. I go through the water that is in there to keep the car from blowing up, and even though it's extremely shallow, the car dies. But it was all smooth sailing from there as I just call the insurance company and then my mechanic to pick the car up and deliver it to me.
 
I haven't been able to join a session with crew members all day. Are you all busy elsewhere or is it not working?

Also, what exactly are we supposed to do with our money after we've bought an apartment with a 10-car garage? I was fretting about having no cash but now that I've gotten back to $100k I have no inclination to spend anything!
 
I've had problems trying to join crew members too. Usually I'm in a room with one or two GTP'ers who I barely know.

Exactly. I would need a couple million to get everything I want in this game. Could spend well over a million just customizing vehicles. Not to mention the guns and character customization. I will be busy a VERY long time. :)

Its like any other sandbox game. Your imagination is the motivation. Without that, these games wont keep you entertained long at all. I am going to set myself a goal to try and buy everything in the game. All the online cars, all the online planes, online boats, online vehicles, all the clothing, all the car customization...everything. That will probably cost well over a billion dollars.

When I get my game working properly and have a friend that owns an apartment with windows, I want to parachute into the window and crash into it, just for the "luls". XD

I did something VERY similar to that yesterday. Flew the helicopter up to the window (like I posted above) then jumped out and parachuted right up to the window. Then fell to my death. :lol:
 
I don't know if this is popular yet, but I think we found a good way to make fast money last night. Just don't tell R*.

Outside the prison in the desert there is a 2-8 player race. The track is just the loop road around the prison. 1 lap in motorcycles takes just under 30 seconds. Set the race to 1 lap, and 1st place wins $2250. 2nd gets $1400. Including loading and restart times, 1st place gets you $2250 for every 1.5 mins. You can do this alone or with friends. Me and a buddy did it and just traded off wins.
 
^ That race is very fun in GTA Race mode with about 10 laps and 8 players. But yes I guess if you just wanted to grind it, that would work too with 1 lap.

Can that race be done in sports cars? Would be a good way to unlock tuning parts...
 
I made a quick 20k to get the amount I needed for a new apartment. So we head into the city to look at it before purchase, and then I get killed by randoms and cops 10 times in a row.

Again, that's why I stay on my own private, friends only servers. If you don't want to get killed by randoms and don't want to lose money to randoms, host your own room. No reason you should ever be killed by randoms.
 
Seen it about 3 months ago but still a great pic. Felt so good getting my 6 car garage in GTA5. Cant wait to get a 10 car garage.

They can still kill you with vehicles by running your character over or smashing your vehicle off the road.
They can still shoot your vehicle and eventually destroy it.
They can still destroy any car you are stealing to take back to LSC.
They can still cause cops to chase you while you are trying to evade the cops.
And much much more.

Passive mode ONLY prevents direct shots from gunfire. The only true way to avoid idiots online, is to host your own private rooms. Period.
