Anyone know when the Beach Bum pack releases? I thought for some reason it was coming today??, but I guess I imagined that or read it on a rumor site as I can't find any solid info about it now.

We have no idea until R* makes an announcement. Also the first payments in the stimulus package should start this week apparently.

"This is to keep the game balanced as well as encourage the exploration of new missions and content in the game."

"We understand players do like to enjoy a mission multiple times, so rather than remove the possibility of doing so, we've allowed replays of these missions at a reduced payout. Many players can get very good at a mission and beat it much faster in consecutive tries, so we've adjusted these payouts to match that case.

"We apologize that there was not full clarity about this in the patch notes; however, hopefully this note will clear things up. If there are any additional questions, please do not hesitate to ask."

What this really means....

"We cut the mission payouts in half so players would not accumulate money as fast. Which hopefully will mean more money spent on microtransactions" -translation of the Rockstar statement. Not from Rockstar.

I actually don't mind because its rare for me to farm for money. I play for fun and spend most of my time in the co-op missions. But I know many people are very frustrated about this. Looking forward to the $500,000 when it eventually arrives.
 
So why do I get only 50% money on missions I've never done before. I assume it's because the missions were above my level, but that's silly. I did the mission with worse equipment and life and I get a penalty for it?
I'm not actually sure that's what does it, but it seems likely.

Some of the payouts are very strange. Some people are getting full money while others in the room get half. I have run several experiments and it is just not consistent at all. Think it might have something to do with rank level.
 
I wanna know why the game keeps giving me level 1-5 missions when I'm at level 41. Why would I possibly want to play a mission that will give me less money than robbing a liquor store.

Also...anyone notice that the inside of the police station is modeled? Maybe we'll get to play as cops at some point....or bust someone out of jail...can't wait to rob some banks, though.
 
Yes R* said that you'll get 50% if you are below the level of the mission. Seems fair to me really, it's quite generous to even let you do them early.

Thing is though it doesn't always seem to work like that, for example when I got to level 75 I did Rooftop Rumble with a level 70 friend (both our first time) I got full pay, he didn't then later that session we did it again I was level 78 by now him 73, and I got half pay out and he got the full payout.

Have had several other missions I've done with a friend multiple times and some times we get half pay as we should for repeating missions, other times one of us will get full pay.

Exactly. There is more to it for sure. Or it is bugged.
 
I can buy a tank now :D Time to ruin everyones day.

The great thing about bad sport lobbies is that time never gets added on, so if you have no cash and a tank you can go around wrecking personal vehicles and enjoying the countless hate messages :lol:
 
Sounds like Bad Sport servers are basically Trevor mode. You seem to be enjoying your 'punishment' an awful lot, Carl!

ApexWay tried to follow me into my garage and got stuck. And when I tried to leave, the game wouldn't let me leave for a moment....so word of warning: don't stand near the garage door of someone entering or exiting their garage.

That was the worst.
 
Sunday my friend was trying to get one of the cars in the garage, without actually opening the garage himself. So he had me open it first then his though process was that he could enter and basically get to keep a free car. So I pull up to the garage, it opens, then he comes flying into the garage and actually hits the mechanic with his car. Then his car was ejected from the garage. We laughed so hard. :lol:
 
Anyone know if you can buy trackers and insurance on cars even with the garage full? Like say once I fill my garage, if there's still vehicles I want, I can just go to LSC, purchase insurance and tracker, and just park them in a hidden spot somewhere?
 
I had a $9,000 bounty put on me by some random guy in a public lobby. Never put a bounty on a guy in a Rhino tank. I'm on the verge of becoming a Bad Sport from all of the personal vehicles I blew up.
I wasn't even shooting anyone prior to the bounty placement.

Paint with metallic first, go back 1 step, THEN the pearlescent color will become available at the bottom. Its a bit strange.
