GTA: SA - Have you reserved your copy?

I don't plan to reserve a copy. In my little town (population ~3,000) I'd be suprised if more than 7 people even know that Grand Theft Auto is a video game. Copies will be in my local game store.
 
I will eventually. While I am there, I will reserve GT4, too. I've never reserved games before, but I reserved Halo 2 since there is virtually no chance of getting it within the first month without reserving it. I might get lucky with SA, though. I got Vice City the second day it was out without reserving it. I called at least 15 stores, all of them did not have it. Finally, I called Sam's Club and lo and behold, they had it!
 
I'm not that desperate to get it. And there is 3-5 different games stores in town so it won't take long to visit them if needs be.
 
Yea, I'm in the same situation as GT fein, but I'm a GTA nerd/freak, and I wouldn't be much of one if I didn't pre-order it!
 
meh, I'll consider pre-ordering it later in the month... but I may have to wait till november to get the game. Between the last week of August and the first 2 weeks of september, I'll be blowing close to 8 grand on tuition and textbooks :irked:. That doesn't leave much for leisure spendings
 
I might reserve it or I might do like I did with VC. I went in the day it came out and asked if they had any copies. They said no and they asked me if I wanted to reserve for the next shipment. I was like alright. Got a call later that night from EB saying someone didnt come in to pick up their copy so they decided to give it to me. Woot. The only games I have reserved right now is Doom3 and HL2. Might reserve GT4 in a month or two.
 
reserving games are useless. ive never had a problem with not getting a game the first day without reserving it. if you live in a big enough city theres a store on every corner that keeps a few thousand copies. i didnt reserve VC, i went to best buy and got it for $10 cheaper than everyone else who went to gamestop.

Maybe for you reservning the game is useless, SS69, but in some places (I know of a fair few), it's a big city, yet there only seems to be 1 or 2 game stores at the most. Electronics Boutique (EB) over here seems to sell out games quickly, yet our area is pretty small. The nearest game store is about 20 km away (Erina, Gosford). There's only one at each of those places. I know some people lucky enough to get Vice City before the shelf copies sold out, but many missed out and had to wait for the next SHELF shipment, not pre-order shipments. So not so many of us are that lucky.

Luckily I live in Norway, so there's absolutely no need for me to reserve a copy!
Hehe, as a mather of fact, the whole population of Norway is less than 4.3 million! :sly:
 
Put down ten dollars for a reserve copy last week....I hope that bumps me up a little higher on the call list. Vice City I got, no problem, and I only put down 5 bucks that time. If I'm low on the list, I'll haul ass to Gamestop and punch, kick, bite, and stab anyone who tries to get between me n my copy :D
 
Me, I haven't reserved it yet, its free where I go to but I've just been lazy.:sly:👍
 
*Runs to the door to reserve a copy......Gets lazy and sits down and watches tv.
 
I only have 15$ left to pay on my copy.. I'll be paying it off either this week or next week.. Most liekly next week, though. Then its only a week or 2 until it comes out :D

I'm excited.
 
I paid full straight away. But that's only because I didn't want to have money, and not be able to spend it. Realistically, if you get down there on the release date and finish your payment and buy it straight away, they won't knock you back. So, it doesn't exactly matter how much you put on it, but if you don't know the release date, it can be handy to receive the call as soon as they get it.
 
I pre-ordered my copy yesterday. As well as GT4 but I only put $10 on each so I hope i dont get knocked back on the first shipment. I think it comes in on a Thursday which is late night shopping so I'll get mum to take me to EB that night. If the higher amount payed on it gets priority, I'll buy em both now......... too much work to little to buy. Although there is about 5-6 games coming out right now which i would like.

If you only put $10 on it, then chances are you will get knocked back for San Andreas. You might be lucky for GT4.
