With all the online focus, players should be able to sign up for police force, task force, office jobs, doctor/paramedic, IT worker, construction worker, actor, dancer, casino worker, security guard, helicopter taxi pilot, bus driver, truck driver, hot dog stand chef, airline pilot, armed forces, gang member, lifeguard, car sales, bounty hunter.

Some of these occupations have been available in some fashion, through the franchise. Maybe make some of these tasks permanent fixtures.
There are a few large modding communities that have done just that. It's definitely something that I would love to see rockstar implement.

It might add an interesting dynamic to heists, because it means that you could recruit someone “from the inside”, perhaps as an option to perform the heist in an alternative way.

Nice. Another way to network players.

My initial idea was about joining the LSPD. AT some point, a player can choose to be of good standing or become a corrupt officer. One could stay as a beat cop and another go undercover by choosing a provided mission of which gangs to infiltrate. I like that twist in your idea. Good stuff.

How about a train driver? 💡

Why do you think it would be dangerous? I think I've seen some videos in the game trying to emulate it by some kind of mod.
The poor train and engineer are often targets of bored players.

OCRP is one I watch.
I watched DOJ while Buggs was a part of it. It would be great if rockstar gave these groups and what they are doing when considering new online content.

Thought I typed that. Good idea though. Stopping to pick up samples at the quarry. Watching out for helicopters trying to lift cars from your run. Transporting/smuggling goods.

Working in the metro line would be good too. Maybe be a welder to see how many welds you can complete in a day. Fixing parts of track before a certain time. Removing a detailed train, etc.

How about operating the rollercoaster?

Another job, flying the blimp.

One thing I haven seen in this game, is a zoo.

Only if I get a BIG BOYE steam choochoo to play with.
Well, somebody is waiting.

Awesome! And at the same time I know it's going to be a huge tease for us PC players as we have to wait 6 months after release to finally get the game. Why oh why does R* do that?

Latest leak has confirmed GTA VI will be on next gen consoles.
Will not proactively release on PS4/Xbox One.

Hope the next game location is as big as San Andreas, with the feel and offline activity of all previous games, combined.

I haven't seen it confirmed what consoles it'll be on, but given the latest Kotaku article exert, it would seem pretty obvious the game is going to be a next gen. title only.
One plan that management has laid out for the next game, a new entry in the Grand Theft Auto series, is to start out with a moderately sized release (which, by Rockstar’s standards, would still be a large game) that is then expanded with regular updates over time, which may help mitigate stress and crunch.

But there’s a catch: Rockstar’s next big project is still early in development. When production ramps up and the game gets closer to launching, will overtime come with it? Will Rockstar’s employees then face the pressure of months of crunch in order to finish all of the ambitious work it takes to make a Rockstar game? “The changes have been good enough for me to stay and give them a chance but let’s see what happens down the road when the pressures of delivering a final product become reality,” said one developer.

I originally thought a 2020 announcement followed by the general 2-years later release was possible, but given the recent world event, this backlash on overworking/crunching their employees to get a game out, & the news of early development starting, I'd push back to a 2021 announcement & 2023 release. If so, that'd put us around 2-3 years into the Series X/PS5's current life to which I can't imagine Rockstar also releasing VI on the X/PS4 at that point & having to scale the game's full potential to make it work.

Considering GTA V is getting another release...

As a long term fan of GTA V and Online until November last year I had the belief that this year would see an announcement about GTA 6 with a provisional release of late 2022 but given they went for the remaster card and are releasing V for a third time which I won't buy I don't expect any whiff of a next GTA until at least late 2022.

I am pretty sure the Houser's said they weren't even sure what they'd do for the next game and given that they have now moved onto new pastures who knows what will be next.

As to if I buy it or dedicate the 6 years it depends on the game but I'm not expecting to change my stance of ending the series interest through V.

Just booted up TBoGT again. Needed a break from Los Santos. So many structures to enter. Even though I chose New York for, hopefully, the next NEW game, a globetrotting story line would be cool.

Some type of expansion pack in different cities and countries would keep the game going. Do Miami, NYC, LA, London, Paris, Prague, a city in Italy, Japan and Germany.
May as well dream big.
