I am going to do a tire test tomarrow on my Mobile 1 NSX. I'll post my results. Also earlier today I ran a 34 lap race at Apricot Hill for practice and so I could get a better feel for my car. I was pretty happy with how it ran but there were a couple things I had trouble with for the first 10-15 laps but after that I was gone. I won the race with a 23 sec. lead. I am thinking of trying out one of the Supras and one of the GT-Rs also during my tire test tomarrow.

i ran a 32 lap race at apricot hill and i was pitting every 8 laps with the asl
i also might try running gt500 class

a car to possibly add to the gt300 class is the Nissan Razo Silvia

The TAKATA DOME NSX is better. I am switching away from a NSX though and going to a GT-R

I've tested the Motul Pitwork Z and the Xanavi Nismo GT-R. Both are great cars.

the only 2 types of cars ive tested with in gt500 are the supras and the nsx's
for me the supras run through tyers fast and SO do the nsx's ill try and do test runs with the skylines tonight

The GT-Rs are much better in my opinion. My lap times are a second faster at Apricot Hill in the Xanavi Nismo GT-R than all the other cars. So I made a switch.

We need to find a way to get more people to join.
At least mentioning something about the series and having links to the signup threads are good for starters.:) And I imagine there's a post about this series up in the Current Series Running thread already. Those being said, I don't know offhand as to how to get more to join in.

no GT500 car fits my style

Hey guys, How much tyre life are you guys getting on your cars?

with my asl on apricot im pitting every 8 laps
hopefully that beats the asparadrink rx7's
my ASL rules!!!:bowdown::bowdown::bowdown:

From the ASL on Mediums is not a big trick.
If the race lasts only 8 laps maybe you can catch the RX's.But after 32 laps or so with those Comedy Racers (I mean Andy and Neil) behind the wheel it is not sure at all.
I bet they want to drive the Amemiya again...Am I mistaken?:)

No, you're correct Laz, the RX7 is our car, I've logged more miles on that then any other car, probably same for Neil. It's like being married for a long time, may not be real exciting but you know what to expect and are comfortable with it.

how long do the rx7's last before they have to pit?? because if they last more than 8 laps i could strecth my asl to pit evry 10 laps

Both the Xanavi Nismo GT-R and the Motul Pitwork Z can go 11 laps before pitting, and thats when its set on "Strong" tyre wear.

That is the thing why the JGTC was - and I hope will - be so exciting.
You will never know what to expect in the actual race.
What will you do after the justice is out about the tyre wear of the RX's?
What if they need to pit only in the 11th lap?:)
The car is just a car without a driver.A good car with a smart and fast guy behind the wheel is something that you must be afraid of.
And I know smart and fast guys around here...

@ racingfreak01 & GT4 defistation

You guys might want to calm down on the info-sharing and testing just at Apricot. It's a long season. I suggest you test at a VAST amount of tracks. I'm going to be working on a full entry list and a pre-season event which i'm testing tonight and should have up by wed/thurs.

I like to see new blood in the series, and I'm usually pretty lenient in my administration of the LMS, but this is going to be a little more strict.
@ Everyone
You'll learn the lengths of races when I post them. Not before. I won't call it a waste of time to run 32, 33, 34, or 50 laps at the Hill, but I would personally test tire combos and practice my lines more than getting a "head start". Things do come up through the course of a season (believe me, i know!), but part of competing in a series like this is the commitment it takes to run the FULL season.

just my $.02

Just said which car I liked (obvious from my submission)...didnt share any info? Tested all the cars at bout nine of my favourite tracks...including tight, high speed and intermediate, so I have experienced all the cars and their pro's/con's. Wont share my testing info...as this only helps another guy who is not committed to doing 100+ laps of testing to make an informed decision. Cant wait for this series to start though!

Well Chris, we have alot of faith in you running this series and I know how much time you'll be investing. I've run 4 seasons of JGTC and once I joined I don't think I ever missed a Quali or a race. Each season has been so close that you can't risk missing a race.
Looks like a nice mixture of veterans and new guys for the series, seems to be that way every season. After a few weeks of running we'll all know each other's abilities, although Laz should get recognition as most improved driver over the last year and he was darn good before!! I'll keep a real close eye on him:)
Just remember everyone , I own SSR5...period!!!! Yes those are fightin words guys, but seriously I'm looking forward to racing with all of you, together we can have a fun season.

You can count on DrewpyBalls Comedy Racing to pull a few slightly deranged rabbits out of their hats this season.

One win, Ah,Ah,Ah
Two wins, Ah,Ah,Ah
Three wins, Ah,Ah,Ah!
etc,etc!

Wankle's RULE!

Neil

So there will be pre-season? And what do you mean by "I'm going to be working on a full entry list"?

Oops sorry Chris, I've stopped checking this site as often as before. I'm not sure if I have the time anymore to be honest. It's been so long since the last season ended...

Maybe I should just retire as the GT500 Driver's World Champion :sly:

When's the deadline to sign-up?

You have to race this year to defend your title because if you don't I will take it.
