GTP Alternative Cool Wall Nomination Request Thread (Read OP) [NOMINATIONS CLOSED, see pages 10-11]

Well, that means The Stig's already eliminated.

Because some say he can claim sub zero as long as he has it referred on a dictionary.

By "anything", do we really mean anything? As long as it's not AUP violating?

The AUP is generally a good guide. Also, some nominations may be skipped if they're seen as being too ridiculous.

No religious figures and living people, but other than that, pretty much everything.

Cars and Vans are also excluded, as are things which violate the AUP and things which are deemed to obscure to be voted on.

Well, that means The Stig's already eliminated.

The Stig is a character, and is therefore eligible for nomination. Anyway, even if The Stig were a real person, only Stig III would be ineligible.

Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird
sr71_blackbird3.jpg

Manufacture: Developed with complete secrecy by Lockheed's Skunk Works division some time before 1964.

Secrecy:
During it's first two years of service any information on the aircraft was classified, and after being revealed to the public, all equipment used to manufacture it was ordered destroyed.

Powerplant: 2 Pratt & Whitney JT11D-20s, making 32,500 lbf (145 kN) of thrust each, with a combined output of 65,000 lbf (290kN).

Speed: A cruising speed of Mach 3.2, with a restricted speed of mach 3.3(due to extreme temperatures) with reports of crews reaching Mach 3.5, or 2,664.22mph(4287.65kph).

Max Altitude: 87,000ft(26517m), or 16.47miles, limited only by the fact that jet engines need air to run.

Nah, I think when nominating items of clothing it's best to display them without a wearer, as the difference between how people will vote when Steve McQueen or Marilyn Monroe is wearing the clothes in the image used as compared to say, Piers Morgan or Margaret Thatcher will be quite significant.

@Akmuq, your image shows Barry White, not his voice.

Also, while your nomination and the AC/DC nomination will be allowed, from now on I'm going to say no to the nomination of musical artists or works, as the GTP Music Cool Wall already exists in the Music section, albeit on extended hiatus.

I'm still working stuff out here, expect the odd teething trouble.

Yes! I'm assuming that you didn't read the OP... If so, do, reading the OP for threads before posting in them is always highly recommended. I sound so sarcastic there. If I do it's because my body clock currently has no clue what time zone it's in. Err...

Anyway, yes, you can nominate a gun.

A cactus? A freaking cactus!? Okay, now I've seen it all in GTP without being a Premo member.

To nominate something cool, or to nominate something silly. My choice. Gah, I seriously don't know. :banghead:

The more people who nominate silly things, the less silly the silly things become, until eventually they just stop being silly and become normal. Just putting it out there.
