Not that I'm going to win anything, but still... what chances do non-"insider" users have when it comes to the awards other than the Best Turnaround or the Best New Member? This entire thing is run by Premium users with a few exceptions, for example.

I've got a catorgorie. The award for the most times a member has made a threat to leave the site if moderators keep closing thier threads. I wonder who would win that...

There are 69 members online at the moment. At least 24 of them are premium members. That's quite a big chunk.

If every currently posting member voted, premuim or not, then the category winners would be more open.

Well, you don't even need to bother voting, because I'm the clear winner. I've done it so many flipping times I've lost count. I'm suprised I have'nt been banned yet!

so there is no point in making it a category if you have already won it.

that said why is there even any point making the most intelligent catagory, we already know who has won it. *cough*

Its thourghly deserved though, Andrew is the most intelligent guy I've met.

I would guess probably around the Rumble strip somewhere, probably in a new thread (at least that would be the most organized.)

And when does the voting happen? Is it over Christmas or New years? Surely there will be some heavy counting to do. I'm ready to cast my first GTP awards votes!!
 
Traditionally the results are planned to be realeased some time bewteen Xmas and New Year.

Usually however, Dunc is in a drunken state for that entire week and doesn't get round to it :D

Yup, that's exactly how it's going to work. Once the categories are finalised, i will make a new thread, deatailing the categories, and members will submit their votes via PM.

Indeed, but I have no involvement with the WRS or any OLR. This is a more general forum awards. By all means have an OLR awards, I think however it should probably be hosted by someone who is a part of that series. I have no idea what goes on over there!
 
Car siting of the year. We had some good ones, especially Doug's encounter with the Veyron and the MC12.
