Awards time! With the recent influx of memebers, i think i'll have my work cut out this year!

Most of you know the drill but for those that don't, read below.


Please send your votes to me via PM. Do not post them in this thread.

You do not have to vote on every category. If you can't think of a winner, just leave it blank. Do not send in more than one nomination for each category, if you do i will not use any of them.

You can not vote for yourself!

Perhaps someone with great knowledge of the site, who is always friendly and helpful?

Someone that has joined in the last year and has needed no tuition in how to be a great GTP member. They have contributed to the forums from the word 'go'!


Darwin Award
A bit mean, but come on! If you get this it means you really should re-think your posting style!!!​
 
My first awards hooray. I'll submit tomorrow. What does the Darwin award mean?
 
You know how Charles Darwin had his theory of Survival of the Fittest? Everyone thought he was kind of a numbskull... 'nuf said?
 
Damn. I should host a "best new member" campaign. :lol:

Just submitted my votes. Couldn't put down a "Funniest", "Most Improved", or "Best New Member".

Darwin award will be a tough one as we can't nominate the entire GT5 section....or can we?

Kind of. The Darwin awards were given to people that bettered humanity by removing themselves from the gene pool by being unbelievably stupid. THis award is for people (who if they carry on the way they are) GTP would be better without. It's kind of a wake up call to get them to buck up their ideas.

I know a November Troll that should really be mentioned :) The few days GTP stood still

And what about calling the most knowledgeable award the "Famine award" and banning Famine from winning?



There should be a category for "Worst thread," then i'd nominate the Standard vs Premium thread.
 
Haven't been following everything on GTPlanet lately so I'll probably vote on the categories on which I vote for the same member every year! :lol:
 
What is even the point of having a Most Knowledgeable category? There will only ever be one winner anyway.

I would nominate all the why was my thread closed or the AUP is too strict threads.
 
Take out all the marginally good threads in the GT5 section and give the rest of the threads Worst Equal :dopey:

I thought of doing that last year - but I only had like 200 posts so I thought I would have been laughed at :lol:

I'm sorry mate, but that just lucks desperate. ;)

Don't forget, there are 150,000 members, so I'd imagine it'd take something special to get yourself one. Except perhaps the darwin award, but I wouldn't recommend that one.
