Altough I absolutely agree with you on the black Fuchs statement, those arent Fuchs afaik :/

Ah yes, I knew I should of closed the blinds on my desktop desk. I saw the black wheels, which had a similar style as those of Fuchs, and figured as such.

After seeing the photo in better light they are indeed not. Still looks great I reckon, though!

Edit: Post has been fixed! Thank you for bringing it up.

Will always be looked down upon as "not a 911". I don't find it that good looking either. Who wants an ugly sports car?

Uncool.

A lot of firsts for this car, first pop-up headlight Porsche, right mid-engined 6 cylinder (in the form of the 914-6, which came from the 911 T).

Problem is, people thought that its back was its front a little, still I think its a cool choice of car. Cool.

Seriously uncool. Looks like a cheap kit car, perfect for those with a mid life crisis.

The 916 was much, much better looking in my eyes:

Or even adding some black Fuchs to the 914 goes a long way, or wheels of similar style:

Now I show that, I want one with that wheel combo now. Ugh.
How does this look like a cheap kit car & the exact same car with flared fenders and a lip spoiler doesn't? :odd:

The 916 didn't even make it to production, either.

In my eyes, the 914 looks cheaply made, half assed and rather dopey looking. The 916 fits into more of Porsches feel, and looks more complete somehow. It looks like it actually has a reason for being around to be honest.

I wasn't aware of them never entering production.

Well, it was a Volkswagen.

I get where you're coming from, though, because to me the 924 just doesn't cut it next to a 944, which is also just a 924 with fender flares. Which was also a Volkswagen.

Probably one of the ugliest Porsche there is... together with the Panamera and first gen Cayenne...

But i will give it a cool because whoever owns this car must have blind and true love for this car, and this kind of love can only be cool...

I had a neighbor who tweeked his 914, love the effort he put in his...

This is the sort of car that doesn't make a fuss about its self being a Porsche like a 911 but then again just with a first glance you'd never guess it was a Porsche anyways so its a meh.

(I voted uncool in the poll, sorry a meant to vote meh!)

I think they may be called/or referred to as 'Cookie cutters'.

Cheap to buy and to run compared to other Porsches of that era. Super light and it strikes you as car you can have lots of fun with.
Unfourtunately it falls on the "not a 911" sterotype but, in my opinion, is such a different kind of car from the 911. Also I absolutely adore these.

A solid cool

A fun, little cost-effective sportscar straight from the '70s. It's not the greatest thing in the world, but it's a solid cool for me.
