Cooler now in retrospect then it was in its day (when it had to compete with the similar Rover V8 powered TVR's - which were lighter, more powerful and looked much better) Still a high Meh though.

Visual improvements over the MG B V8 aside, these have always screamed "MG anorak" and I'm not sure anybody who isn't one would stump up so much money for a heavily antiquated sports car by early 90s standards.

Uncool.

I don't think this MG is bland or boring, so I'm not going Meh. I will, though, give this car a Cool call. It seems like modernized vintage. It isn't Morgan-style vintage, though. So that's my call- Cool.

This is another car that I would love to own...
buuut I have the feeling that I would look like an idiot in one of these.
It's even not that good-looking, but it has some charm to it.
So it's a Meh for me

Nice update on the already good looking MGB. The downside was distinctly 60s dynamics (great steering feel though). I think it needs another 10 years before it becomes cool. Meh.

I think it's cool. Looks better than the Rubber bumper MGBs it succeeded.

The rubber bumpered MGBs weren't helped by being painted in those nasty 1970's BL colours like mustard yellow, orange, brown, non-sporty red, baby-sick green or stained-teeth off-white.

When my parents first got me* my Dad had one of these, this colour too. I would lie on the rear parcel shelf when we went anywhere. With the roof up, obviously, they weren't completely insane.

I loved it although I couldn't lie on the floor and sleep like I could in the back of our Renault 4

* EDIT: I was three when they got me so I remember it well :)
