That's the very first thing all the owners will tell you about it.

I don't really know why - modern Audi RS Avants are faster than Porsches and there's a great many reasons to be more proud of the fact you own a fast Audi than a Porsche. I guess RS2 owners aren't secure enough to buy a 911.

Because Porsche is more associated with speed than Audi is.

Any new Audi, thanks to the people who drive them = Seriously uncool.

Audi RS2, thanks to the noise, the rarity, and my love of fast estates = Borderline Sub-Zero.

Ah the two people that went casual meh on this thread and the Renault thread with a twin turbo, if it was an American sleeper though...(that term is stupid by the way).

To you since you don't go outside your bubble...

Then a Wraith is a sports car by that definition since it's got a big powerful engine as well.

I guess that means I should put Maybach in the sport car to super car class with his definition as well.

That's a lot of power for such a tiny engine. Wow.

You remind me of the old guys my dad use to be friends with and hang around when I was teen and we'd go to car shows, or his drag racing buddies. Who couldn't fathom a 2.2 liter or 2.4 liter pushing the power and doing the times of V8s and what not. I mean it's quite annoying, like being raised on a certain religion back in the Puritan days, and no other philosophy or mindset was right other than the Puritan one.

I mean don't you get annoyed being proven wrong or not being as knowledgeable in cars as you easily could be. Furthermore, if you gave half the effort you did with Fords alone to all cars, you could easily be an insight.

The only reason I tell you this and not others, is because you actually aren't that hopeless like some others that have your thinking and method of voting.

I think a lot of my mentality is because I grew up with a lot of those old guys my parents were friends with. Blown GTO's, 454 swapped Monza's, tubbed out Monte Carlos on nitrous, alcohol or jet fuel, big block Mustangs, dad's pickup and his buddies 70s Chevy pickup...that's where it all comes from so it feels weird seeing that.

I suppose I find it a tad annoying but at the same time it doesn't bother me. I've tried to give a little more thought to the outside world of things but its been rammed int my brain so hard it's difficult to accept anything else.

That's completely understandable. 👍

Well so is me feeling like I'm 13 again with that Mentality but I still manage...

When you get in a car at age 5 and it pulls a wheelie with a roaring motor shaking the whole car violently from a dead stop you tend to think that's the best thing in the world and nothing ever compares. It's all I ever really knew up until I joined here.

Old compact wagon that goes like stink? Cool. Audi badge doesn't do anything to negatively impact that.

When you get in a car at age whatever and it pulls a wheelie with a roaring motor shaking the whole car violently from a dead stop you tend to think that's the best thing in the world and nothing ever compares. To this day, the must fun I've had with a car was in my friend's 67 Firebird with a blown 462 that pulled 800 pound/feet of torque or so and shook your bones just by starting it. And remember, I work at car mags and I've been in my fair share of cars, so me saying this is no small thing .

However, I've also always appreciated all kids of cars. Do I think the big-V8 formula is the better? yes of course, and I will for life mind you, but I don't diss nor underappreciate other cars because of it. Hell you don't even have to like them... but if you do, it's aaaaall better with the world 👍

Cool when they came out but it's basically a hot VW for me - they even look like it from the inside. May be tuned by Porsche but any Turbo, GT3 or GT2 would rip it a new one, especially at over 3,500lbs (4,200lbs for a RS4 Avante!).

Therefore, Meh.
