My first exposure was watching it racing on BM video back in 90's against F40, Porsche GT2, F355, NSX-R etc, at Tsukuba. It came second with F40 winning ( Keiichi Tsuchiya was driving the F40 and recorded F40 best ever lap time in a race at Tsukuba - while chasing the NISMO 400R ), it was great to watch and the power was more likely more than 400PS ( I think 400PS was at the wheel power-considering it has stroked 2.8L engine, N1 Turbo running almost twice the stock boost level of R33 GTR, and it held ground against 911 GT2 with more power/less weight ) The NISMO 400R also held best lap in time trial, beating F40 by 0.11s and 911 GT2 by just over half a second at Tsukuba.

This car is an R33 done right.

Cool.

Meh. Most boring looking of all GT-R's.

Gets a solid cool from me.

In the right color. In that orange, it looks like it could star in Fast & Furious and therefore be super uncool. In black, I think they look menacing. Cool though; it's obviously a high performance vehicle but isn't showy in the "look what my piles of money bought me" kind of way, and I wouldn't call it ugly.

Maintains the clean lines of the stock R33, nice additional aesthetic touches (in other words I like the decals) and not a ridiculous 1000bhp project, instead a very exclusive variation with just the right amount of extra grunt. Not sure I agree that it's ricey when it's too rare and already too well set up for anyone to even dream of modding it, or thrashing it too much. Very high Cool.

It's a great car, uncool because most will always be garage queens for collectors.

Yup, that's fantastic reasoning right there. Someone thinks it's great enough to preserve it so that it can be enjoyed many years into the future? It's super uncool.

Looking like you drove straight off the set of Fast and Furious 1 is not cool.
