Rooney also has/had an X6, a number of Continental GTs, Aston Vanquish, Gallardo, Mini John Cooper Works, Merc CL63 AMG, Merc G-wagon, Audi RS6 and a Merc CLK DTM... (Yeah, i know. None of those are cool either)![]()
How can one spud buy so many utter nobwagons?Rooney also has/had an X6, a number of Continental GTs, Aston Vanquish, Gallardo, Mini John Cooper Works, Merc CL63 AMG, Merc G-wagon, Audi RS6 and a Merc CLK DTM... (Yeah, i know. None of those are cool either)![]()
How can one spud buy so many utter nobwagons?
Even so, it's like he has a complete and total absence of taste of any kind and, since he has absolutely zero imagination, every time he wants to buy a car someone is giving him a shortlist of the (amplifier tube)iest cars he can buy.I think it's written into all Cheshire-dwelling Premiership contracts to own at least two from the nobwagon list.
As long as anywhere is a million-pound pad in Cheshire.Sub zero its a mansion that goes anywhere.
Reputation be damned - and it's one that hasn't much latched on around here, luckily - but I gave it a Cool. It's the Rolls of SUV's, but it's always felt more like the old Rollers than the new ones Zee Germans have been building. I've personally had a few people change their mind on it once they've got inside, and it certainly isn't the soccermom-mobile something like the Murano or Rav4 is.
The Sport is most assuredly Uncool, but the regular Rangie still has enough class, IMO.
Envious - and there's a world of difference between pointing out that the furthest anywhere that these go-anywhere cars go is a gravel driveway in Footballer-on-Lyme and being envious of it.And you need a million pound pad to afford one - it's a £100k car near enough.
Shouldn't get jealous just because other people have more money than you![]()
Khan Design would opine differently.I never get too stressed about cocks driving FFRR's as they are almost never butchered by the 'football crowd' with rubbish bodykits and 24" chromed wheels... the same can't be said for RR Sports/X5/X6/Cayennes.
spud
how many 7 seater people carriers ever have anyone in their 6th and 7th seats
Here's the exchange again:So what if they never go off road...
Sub zero its a mansion that goes anywhere.
You find where anyone said "never" in there, or anything about it going off road at all.As long as anywhere is a million-pound pad in Cheshire.
What do "at their limits" have to do with it? Did anyone say that Range Rovers have to be driven to their maximum wading depth, approach and tilt angles or it's not really off-roading?how many sports cars ever get driven at their limits
Quite a few - and certainly on the school run. You might also remember the GTP trip to Le Mans two and three years ago, where we had 6 and 7 stuffed into a Sportage. No idea what this has to do with anything either.how many 7 seater people carriers ever have anyone in their 6th and 7th seats![]()
pointing out that the furthest anywhere that these go-anywhere cars go is a gravel driveway in Footballer-on-Lyme
Nope - and that was after the initial exchange when you'd already suggested I'm jealous (meaning envious) of Range Rover owners. So when you said...
... you weren't in anyway insinuating that the owners of RR's don't take them off road?![]()
Defender, Pah. Modern tosh, Series 3 or earlier FTW.It's not a Defender.
Don't care.
Seriously Uncool.
Which was after the original exchange. Try reading the original exchange. If you like, try linking the original exchange together with the comments just above it.Nothing made up... anyone can see what you were insinuating with the 'gravel driveway' comment.
Then perhaps you shouldn't make rubbish up, pretend that's what other people have said and attack them for it.Spend all day having a pedantic multi quote internet 'discussion' with Famine or saw my own head off with a blunt bread knife? I think the bread knife wins.
No, you've made it up.You know what you were insinuating after the original exchange.
Shouldn't get jealous just because other people have more money than you![]()
There are some problems with it, though, the earlier ones are to put it bluntly, crap
Yes, I meant the 2002 one, the Range Rover Classic is great, although it also had some quality/reliability problems, which was the main reason why I called the early L322s crap. Anyway, it's almost phenomenal how much the L322 improved in 10 years. If you mean the early '02 models then yes. If you mean the original original early ones then I'm coming round to your house![]()
