Have you?
No. However, the way he talked about them made me think that he had, or that he was being very confident in his views. I have driven a Charger SRT8, which is quite similar, but I've not driven either 300.

I like it, especially the estate version, but I just can't bring myself to vote anything higher than meh.

When the person he was responding to asked the same question of another user. Other than that never.
Not when the person he was responding to asked the same question of another user after saying such an informational nugget as this:
The second gen is even worse, actually. It's just as gaudy, poorly built, and unreliable, but doesn't have a Mercedes Benz chassis like this does.

You can absolutely query whether someone has firsthand experience with a topic you're debating if they say something you deem truly (truly, truly) outrageous; but it gets pretty murky when the only reason you're doing so is because you can't believe that someone would claim anything than what goes against the obviously-secondhand information that fuels your confirmation bias.

Maybe I confused you, but what I'm saying is @SlipZtrEm seemed to only ask due to the other user asking, it doesn't mean I agree. I'm just telling you it seemed a bit obvious why he thought it mattered, I still don't think it matters either way when judging the coolness of a car.

Also what is this underlined part going on about?

I think I previously stated that I was going off of reviews I'd read by professional car reviewers. And I have driven that chassis, albeit not extensively.

@Tornado I see now what you meant. He did say though later on he drove the Charger not sure how they differ since I've only rode in the SRT8 never drove one.

It means Beeblebrox's comments about the quality of Chrysler cars following the FIAT buyout vs. their cars under the later years of Mercedes aren't a result of any actual experience with either product; and instead come from rather... selective secondhand sources.

Thanks again, I was too late 👍

Uncool. Fat blob of no balls, underwhelming styling and a side of diving through corners.

A BIG FAT N.O.

I'd like to note that I drove a current gen Charger SRT8 which is basically the same car ;) So I do have a bit of experience.

I always quite liked the look of these, though I'd be more inclined to vote up if it had other redeeming features. I can only go by what I personally find cool, what does it for me, and therefore I'll settle on a low cool. The current gen model, on the other hand, I find very yawnsome.

Before I even nominated this car, I honestly had never heard of people trying to pass these off as Bentleys. This thread is the first I've heard of it and it's news to me.

Also, this is what Kojak would drive today. He'd use this to chase the drug dealers who are obviously in Explorers, Navigators and Escalades.

I'm guessing its an American thing. Here in the UK, the only really dodgy thing I've seen people do to these is try to emulate the cars from rap videos by shoving 20" chromies on them.

Except... over here, they put ludicrously sized rims... 24s and up. I don't know what rap video you saw with 20"s because they put big rims on cars.

For those who thinks this is a cool car,it really isnt...

For those who thinks this car isnt cool at all, well you are wrong...

This car is just Meh...

You cannot ignore the car and its presence, but it just doesnt inspire coolness...

Uncool. I like that they are RWD and can be had with a V8 but all the loco Cholo's/Gangsters have taken them over.

Uncool. Seen a few around mine over the years and looks not only out of place, but also a poor mans Bentley. Uncool.

I thought that was Jaguar?

I think that was often the case in the past along with Rover. Search for "poor man's Bentley" now and one car comes up almost every time.

MerChrysler = Poor man's VW confirmed.

Cool at the very beginning when it just came out, but it went quickly downhill from there as it entered into the cliched parts of pop culture.

Chrysler 300C - If you don't want to pass your entire life in a prison, this car is perfect for you!

Uncool.
