I think the C6 ZR1 is a very good car, but yeah, the interior is not that great compared to the C7's. And the C7 Z06 is an even better car.
 
I prefer this over teh C7, but not sure now if teh C7 already got a ZR1 version..either way, this gets a Cool from me. You can't just say no to 'vettes, we loved the classic ones, we love still the new ones...not as much though.

Regarding a C7 ZR1, the C7 Z06 has similar or better performance compared to the C6 ZR1. There have also been spy shots of C7 prototypes with large wings and aero kits that's believed to be a ZR1 and a special edition to send off the C7.

Really? I haven't heard too much about them falling apart, and considering there are a few owners on the forums that have this or the equally built Z06, they seem content with their cars that are some years old now and perfectly fine.

As for the car itself? I like Corvettes, especially this C6 ZR1. However, it was one of the pioneer vehicles for touting 'Ring times, as much as I appreciate the track. Seriously uncool.

No ring time touting came long before this thing, it just helped make rings times a mainstay in the automotive industry. I'd had to see people bash on the ACR or GT-R because Dodge and Nissan wanted to chase down an empty number. It doesn't define the car at all really, just the state of the industry.
 
Since I'm not a big enough boy to be funny on the forums, I'll say this about the ZR1.

It's fast. Fast cars are cool. Corvettes are usually seen as cool. Fast Corvette. Sub Zero.
 
If I drove this in the UK I'd feel a complete tool. But even so, it is without doubt very cool. I'm trying to think of a Corvette that didn't have some aspect of cool about it.
 
It's quite simply too brash to be driven without looking more or less like a knob.

Either way, even for a 10-year-old car the C6 has aged hilariously badly.

The 1975 Vette was chosen as the "Worst Corvette Ever" by Car and Driver. Most of the 75's were powered by the catalytic-converted, 350 small-block V8, which made just 165 horsepower. 0-60 time was roughly 8 seconds.
 
I gave it a cool, I think it's cool that there's a car that was cheaper than its competition by a great amount while being faster than most of it. It also looks quite mean and I love that blue! However, it got held back from being subzero due to things such as the glass thing showing the engine cover, the fanboys surrounding this thing (though that can be said about a lot of cars), and the interior isn't that great in terms of quality. In which, I'm guessing that's partially why I see people bash these vettes.

In comparison, I admire the ZR1 and the engineering gone into it performance wise. If someone offered me the keys to drive it, I would gladly take them as I honestly don't care about interior quality.

I'd still say that they're sort of cool though. In the same way most 50s 2-seater sports cars just are.
 
Cool. It looks great and is quite fast. Too bad I will never afford one.

I feel a high-Meh for this, which is a first. Gens either side of it would probably be a pretty solid Cool but this seems like it was trying to escape the stylistic trappings that go back to the 80s (and are proud of it), but makes a bit of a half-assed job, whereas the C7 achieved escape velocity and, well, moved on.
