I beg to differ. Not all vans are boring workhorses.
Example A:

@Custom878 @ildd You have to understand that the word "van" strictly refers to vehicles that carry commercial goods in this part of the world. People carriers don't count, and an MPV bodyshell on an F1-style chassis certainly doesn't.

inb4 the inevitable mention of the Transit XJ220 mule/Supervan 1, 2 and 3/World Rally Transit.

Uncool. Saved from SU because it's not a PT Cruiser, it's not a truck/pick-up and at least it has some performance to go with those retro hotrod looks.

I have a bit of a confession to make.

I'd drive one. 260 horsepower and no backseat windows, so my friends don't have to be seen in it? Everybody wins. Uncool.

Best example of an actual goods vehicle that could make it above Meh? Citroen H Van.

At least those are inherently retro, unlike the HHR.

Serious performance in a seriously unassuming package. Cool for sure

Appart from being a panel-van and having very tacky body kit. It's basically the same as the PT Cruiser. Seriously uncool.

What's cool about a box to carry bricks and tools in?

What's cool about that, except even tackier?
Makes sense, I guessed that would be why.

This is probably the worst looking van of recent times.

Somebody at GM heard the saying about being fashionably late to parties and took it to heart, so decided to hire the PT Cruiser guy after that car already was seen as uncool. An excellent example of why Old GM was bound to fail.

Some move their vote up based on it having a damned good engine. That secures its spot in SU land for me: what a waste of the 2.0L turbo, that could've been used for something so much better than a life in Nesbitt's Cruiser 2.0.

It's worse than the PT Cruiser.
It's worse than the Scion XB.
It's worse than the Nissan Cube.

A panel van from the worst-looking hatch in history? That's a really bad joke.

Seriously Uncool.
