It's a beamer so it's cool, but it's headlights give off a mercedes-type aura for me

Does anyone remember when the pinnacle of owning a BmW was to have a M3 or an M5? I like the M6 but they seem to be making it what the M3/M5 was in to one car.

SU for turning an M6 into an M5 again but trying to pull your shirt over your head and making you think it's worth it...

psst here's the secret...just get the damn M5

A saloon version of a coupe version of a saloon. What's the point???

SU.

Modern BMWs aren't cool, but this is such a looker that I struggle to vote this as uncool or seriously uncool. I'll have to think about this a bit more.

Well, M6 isn't really a new concept. There was a M version of the previous generation 6 Series, and the first 6 Series had a M635CSi/M6 edition as well.

The M5 looks like absolutely fat and heavy compared to the M6 GC. Yes you sacrifice a bit of space and room, but you get in exchange just gorgeous looks.

For everyone who asks what the point of this car is when the M5 exists, I will argue that you get a fantastic GT car in a great looking package and with appreciably more practicality than many other GT cars. Assuming you've decided between a M5 or M6GC; unless you absolutely need and use that rear middle seat all the time, or you're trying to skimp money on a new M car, the better question is: What's the point of the M5? Why get the M5 when you can get this.

With that said, I will admit, the M6 GC is on my short-list of cars to replace my M5 a few years down the road from now when the 5 eventually is too old and has too many miles on it.

What's the point of the M5?

The M5 does everything the M6GC does for around £20k less. It makes the premium difficult to justify. Looks alone can't justify the extra money.

I have a hard time believing that the extra 28k€ is going to make much of a difference when you're considering a new BMW M-car. I mean, it's not like the M5 is cheap either.
