Definitely cool despite its massive price tag and the existence of the R35 GT-R.

It's massively nerdy and all but the sound of that V10 combined with the looks (Mmmmm tri-exhaust)...*drool*

Yeah overpriced but somehow, as I read, Toyota will be loosing money from it.

In which sence you find it nerdy?

It may be geeky, overpriced and just a Toyota as many car journo worshipers would be quick to point out but, it still is Sub-Zero. Why?

It was conceived by the naughty son of the CEO which cultivates many ties with the motorsporting world, because of that, it makes a glorious noise, it has an astonishing engine, it looks brilliant and very japanese, the interior is unusual and the stratospheric price tag means it is exclusive and that not every stupid poser in the world will own one to pose around.

Sorry, there is too much of the awesome factor in this car that I can't even type, my fingers just frosted by all the Sub-Zeroness.

It is nerdy in the sense of how over the top the engineering is. From the use of carbon fiber, to the low mounting of the engine requiring a special transfer system, to the insanely low center of gravity, to the aerodynamic considerations.

It is just an engineer's dream. And it is amazing.

I voted Sub-Zero just because it is this radically pure idea of a car. No fancy AWD, no fancy turbos, just insane engineering. And not insane computers.

Yeah, I agree with all the reasons posted above by Azuremen.

It's another Japanese supercar, but it is totally unlike the Godzilla. It's another concept built from a totally diferent start point.

Eh, just cool from me, Largely because I don't like V10/Flat Plane engine sound.

That's just one example of it. Hammond explains it a bit more in Top Gear S14E07 as well.

But again...it gets a cool just on that engine note alone.

This car is definitely sub-zero for me. It's just awesome, a cool toyota, just when I was losing hope for the company. That V-10 sound makes me go :dopey: and

Seriously uncool. Why? You aren't buying one you are renting it. If I pay money for a car I want to own it and do whatever-the-**** I want to do with it for as long as I want. Oh and did I mention that Toyota are (have) selecting the buyers for this car? If this was a car you could buy, put in your garage and drive it around how you see fit it would be Sub Zero. Too bad too because this is one fantastic machine.

Fail Toyota, mega fail.

Higher-res, please?

That's part of the reason they leased them, so they don't end up as somebody's garage queen. The other is to keep away people who buy these cars & then just sale them for even higher prices; see the Reventon if you need an idea. However, if you stay with the car for 2 years, Lexus will pass over ownership to you. By then, most of them will be built & it will be hard for dealers to ask for so much more over MSRP just because they got it first.

And not insane computers.

You had me up until this...the whole car is one big computer. Even the tach is digital in order for it to keep up with the rpm's properly. Even the interior is nothing but electronic "gadgets", and I'm afraid this car could probably be taken out with a single blown fuse. I'm willing to bet that theres more technology under the dash than whats on the space shuttle.

I'm in love with the sound of the engine, but something about the appearance irks me. It almost seems like a designer was drawing triangles on a scrap of paper one day and this car suddenly appeared. People will stop and stare, and I'm sure it comes with a panty rack in the trunk for all the undies you'll be collecting, but I can't rate this as anything more than cool.

Ok, it's overpriced.
Ok, a GT-R or even a ZR1 is faster.
Ok, it's a 375 000 dollar Lexus.
Ok, it's not even yours because Toyota only lease them. (AFAIK)

But who cares when it screams like that ?

Sub zero, based on sound, looks, pricing/exclusive factor. This is Mothra to Nissans Godzilla.

Richard Hammond made a good point about this car: It's...a Lexus. It's fast, an luxurious...but it's a Lexus. Not the first name that springs to mind when you hear the word "supercar." So, it's cool...but it's still a Lexus.

To me, this car is nothing much the first time I saw it in a picture because It doesn't look good and it has a Lexus badge. Once I head the sound of the engine, that made me ecstatic - Sub-Zero all the way!
