Stats:
Production: 2013+
Style: 2-door coupe
Engine: 382 ci/6,262 cc naturally aspirated DOHC V12 (rated 789 HP & 516 lb-ft) backed up by HY-KERS system (rated 161 HP & ??? lb-ft) to give a combined power rating of 963 (many sources list 950) HP & 663 lb-ft
Transmission: 7-speed sequential
Layout: Mid-engine, rear-drive
My take? Well, it's a supercar, with a ridiculous power output, so it's starting off nicely. But, it's a Ferrari supercar, it doesn't look that good, and it's a hybrid - they even bothered to quote CO2 emissions figures! Also, it translates to Ferrari TheFerrari, which means it has a stupid name.

Balances out to low Meh or high Uncool.

Silly name aside, I reckon it's cool. Like the P1, this shows the next evolution of applying racing technology into road cars.
With the powertrain reportedly designed to harvest power all the time, meaning no bumbling around in electric mode, all 963hp is available all the time.

The performace figures look insane and the active aerodynamics show how much work has gone into making this around 2 steps faster than the old Enzo.

In terms of engineering it's brilliant, again applying racing technology into road cars like the P1.

But it doesn't look nice at all! The front end is awful. But it's still cool.

They intended the name to be just LaFerrari. Kind of like the Enzo, being named "Enzo Ferrari".

But for a hybrid hyper, i like. Simple cool because they have balls to name their car "The Ferrari". What's a ferrari?

The last time a 900+ HP Ferrari existed, it looked like this:

The TheFerrari is also the 1st 2nd Ferrari road car that wasn't penned by Pininfarina, and you see the results of that. I still think it's pretty ugly, but the way the air is moved around and through the car makes it up a little bit. Function > Form

Oh, and Ferrari V12 is best V12.

Seriously Uncool, because Ferrari.

My hatred with Ferrari lies with the way they treat new customers (Having to buy an old one just so that you can buy a new one? That makes no ****ing sense!)

The F1 team, Scuderia Ferrari, likes to favor 1 driver over the other, screwing him over just so "#1" gets a better result, the are numerous accounts of this. They also like to bitch and moan about stuff until they get their way. In 1989, when turbocharged engines were banned from F1, the maximum engine size was to be 3.5L V10s, but Ferrari did their thing, and despite having their V12s (that sing a glorious note), in the early to mid 90's, they were still beaten by Mclaren and Williams.

And to top it off, Enzo Ferrari himself. He would pit the drivers against one another, and seemingly not care if one or both gets into a serious, possibly life-threatening crash. And the famous quote "Aerodynamics are for people who can't build engines." is pure BS. If that was true, then why does The Breadvan exist?

@White & Nerdy You made a mistake on the specs, the transmission is a 7-speed DCT.

Bertone might argue with you over that.

You learn something new everyday...

Not just Bertone, Marcello Gandini, I don't think I need to tell you what he has cars he has done over the years.

Would be marginally cooler than the Enzo if the name wasn't so tacky.

Both are equally uncool, but not seriously so. They at least generate wonderful aural porn.

Couldn't bting myself to vote SU due to its performance and such. But still. Thing's hideous, imho. Form over function alright, but the 918 and the P1 are quite functional and still manage to look better. Or rather, less like a Hotwheels car from the early 1990s. The Ferrari TheFerrari might be the fastest of the trio (maybe), but it surely isn't a looker. Name's stupid as well. Give it another five to ten years and Ferrari will build a car that's trumping TheFerrari anyway. And what will they name that car, which trumos the embodiement of what the Scuderia Ferrari? LaFerrari²?

Besides, I have to agree with @Azure Flare. I really dislike Ferrari as a brand. Their antics in F1 are fairly well known and there's the way they go about road tests. Oh, and I'm still holding a grudge due to two Ferrari drivers taking out Rockenfeller and McNish in 2011.

I voted uncool. It looks bad, it has a silly name, the hybrid is only there just to go faster, not make it economical, it's a Ferrari etc. But somehow I can't give it SU.

In comparison to the other Hyper-things, is by far the uncoolest.

It actually makes perfect sense; it's a limited production Halo car, thus you give the people who have shown the most loyalty by offering them first dibs. It keeps trust within those owners to remain with the brand regardless if they actually buy the car or not.

This isn't unique to Ferrari, either. McLaren did it with the P1 and I'll bet money Porsche offered the first 918 orders to high profile clients. It's a smart strategy when you give it some thought.

Surprised nobody's risen to the bait of "and it's a hybrid - they even bothered to quote CO2 emissions figures!"...

Which tells you all you really need to know about this car.

The lines are beautiful, in parts. And the powertrain is simply magnificent. Should be cool, at least.

But it's a modern Ferrari. That's starting off on the wrong foot.

And it has those predictably tacky nods to Formula One built into the front and rear bumpers. Not as bad as the F50's schlong, but they certainly ruin what could've been a purely sensual design.

Of course, that alone would've simply been worth an "uncool"... but "LaFerrari"... to Cool Wall hell it goes...

Uh, uh, I've been waiting for this!!!

Seriously tragically offensively outrageously hellishly uncool! :D :D :D

Inmensely fast and great to hear, that's all that's going on for it. It's not particularly good looking yet it's too absurdely "in your face", it just has no character in it's design nothing that will make it stay etched on my mind. The name doesn't help one bit either. When being asked what you drive you have to mention the Ferrari name twice? Yes, that'll impress people and make them forget they were thinking about throwing eggs at you.

It's an obnoxious rolling display of morbid wealth dressed with the badges of the worlds most elitist and 🤬-ish brand. I wish it went as close as posible to the Devel fictional arab thingymabob.

Most stupid name for a supercar. EVER.

And the looks doesn't help either. It's not awful, but it's just like all the recent Ferraris. And yes, it's powertrain it's a masterpiece... but even if this thing had 3000HP, it can't outrun Uncool.

It's a new Ferrari called "The Ferrari" that costs a bajillion dollars. Seriously uncool.

It's a Ferrari Ferrari that Ferrari the Ferrari that is a Ferrari of a Ferrari.

In conclusion: It's a Ferrari.

Seriously Uncool.

Though it looks marginally less hideous in black, that front end is still unbelievably terrible.

I like it single color too.

You're right, it does look much better that way 👍. The side window profile looks interesting but the black two-tone paint kills it. Finally I have a design line to remember the FerrariTheFerrari by.
