That looks like the ugliest city car I've ever seen. Cars like that make me glad I live in America.
Your country produced this...

To be fair, the Aztek was influential enough that BMW practically copied pieces of it wholesale (and implemented them no better) for the 6 Series.

The name alone makes it Sub Zero.

Too bad the car is meh.

The name only makes sense for an Opel, and they should have renamed the Vauxhall. Still seriously uncool though, whatever its name.

Trying to hard to be a top of the line 500, seriously uncool.

That would be a Vauxhall Alexander then.

Yeah, but they sold horribly so you hardly seen them anymore. Although I did have a neighbor with three teenage daughters who bought three Azteks for them in the hope that the cars were ugly enough to repel boys.

I've had to cogitate on this.

Small, European hatchback = cool
Car with Germanic-origin bloke's name = catastrophically uncool (qv Nissan Cedric; for reverse gender example, see Mercedes-Benz)
Vauxhall badge = as cool as picking your nose and eating it
Trim levels called "Glam", "Slam" and "Jam" = as cool as the above, but being caught doing it by the big screen at the Superbowl
Being the goofiest looking car in the world = as cool as fancying your own mum

Still, you can buy it in purple. So it's got that going for it.

40% of the 500/DS3 experience for 120% of the price.

Seriously uncool. Opel cannot be thinking highly of the European car buyer if they expected this to sell.

Now that, that is genius.

That said, any boy who gets past the Aztek factor will probably appreciate the car with the darkened windows, large interior volume and optional tent for the back.

This. Even then, it's still bizarre to say outloud the Opel Adam when the guy's name was Adam Opel. The reversal makes it like wearing your shoes on the wrong feet.

e and eating it

And this.

Seriously uncool.

The headlights remind me of the ones on the Porsche Panamera. Still uncool.

The camping package with the tent also included an air mattress.

If your girls get BAC Monos, you'd have to beat the boys off with a stick.

Hmm... doesn't sound quite right...

I was going to vote a low cool until I seen homeforsummer's post and some of the others' posts about the trim levels etc. My vote is now Seriously Uncool.

Not the greatest name for a car right there...

And not the best design either...

Meh it is.

I don't mind how it looks. I don't mind that it's a Vauxhall. I like Vauxhall.

I despise how hard it tries. The UK ad campaign is a disgrace. It tries to appeal to people like this:

It does not do that however. It's like your dad trying to use instagram and get into skateboarding and heavy metal, just so he can try and connect with you.

It does not compel the people it's targeting. It's embarrassing. It's tragic.

Live brave, Drive Bold Die Old?

Works for me.

For that advertising to work the Adam needs a 2.0 OPC engine.

Meh.

Meh.

Sadly, they'll have to make do with the S version that was just revealed.

That looks as if it crashed into a Halford's.

I never noticed that it looks like they ordered the wrong size of roof, so they had to weld in a plate on the C-pillar...

^

Floating roofs look daft (imo)

Adam was a misogynistic jerk.

Its quite funky, would make a good first car here in the UK.

But still, its a Vauxhall so... meh

Well, the Opel Adam Rocks

Don't really care what the rest of ya'all are dribbling on about, from across the Atlantic, I deem this car cool. Especially after neither seeing one, touching one, nor having the ability to probably ever encounter one in my life - ever. I like the look, it seems a fair bit more "normal" than the Fiat 500 which seems like you're driving on a kitchen chair while inside. Fiat gets away with ridiculous names because they're Italian, I can give this one a pass when I imagine some crazy rave scene German, tripping on acid, coming up with the color and trim options.

It's a Vauxhall that's not a VXR, it's a very bad attempt at making a cool little supermini like the DS3 and it's one of the ugliest superminis out there - seriously uncool.
