Meh, Lamborghinis nowadays get seriously uncool from me, but this one doesn't look as ridiculous.

It's a plug in meaning qouting any MPG claims are going to be unreliable, if you drove that less then 50kms every time you used it and charged the batteries after it would get infinite MPG if you travelled 1000kms then it would probably get 20mpg, plug ins can't exactly be rated properly because of that.

Rebirth of the Espada with a hint to Lambo's unavoidable future. Still, dunno if cool...

If this actually gets off the drawing board (at least some independent tests) I would probably give it SZ. Instead, because the claims mean nothing until proven, I've brought it down to Cool. I love the styling and it's so refreshing that it doesn't follow all the same cues as their other current models (see Porsche, Mclaren, Aston, other Lambos produced in any significant volume...).

I don't think there is much else that looks like this, perhaps some shades of the Venturi Atlantique 300 but that's a pretty obscure comparison. Technical spec is intriguing too, though I wonder if this is something of a "token hybrid", not really intended to go anywhere.

Probably my favourite Lamborghini design during the Audi era, shame it doesn't seem destined for production any-time soon. Kind of takes you back to a time before Lambo's look like they came from a Sci-Fi novel. Cool.

If a Tesla Model D can do a 3.2 0-60MPH how can this car only do it in 3 flat with 3HP short of 900HP and AWD? Was someone dragging the brakes in the simulator?

282 MPG...

I can't imagine anyone has walked into a Lamborghini dealership and asked:

"Do you have anything that looks less extravagant? I don't want people to know I just dropped 300K+ on it"

Based on that only Seriously Uncool would fit. The only redeeming feature is the interior.

282MPG could be easily surpassed with this car tbh, thats if you understand how a plug in works.

Sure, but it can get "infinite" MPG for about 31 Miles (50 Km )...

The number is useless on a car like this, and that fact they actually think it should be in a press release is laughable.

Nope.

First off, yes, you could even get infinity miles per gallon with a plug in... just never drive it past the plug-in range.

The problem with NEDC figures is that they basically give a free-pass to plug ins, because they don't care how much electricity you use. The combined rating for the Porsche 918 on the NEDC is 78 MPG (US).

The US EPA actually does care, and the rating is a more realistic 67 MPGe, and 20-24 MPG on gasoline alone.

The Tesla does "only" 89 MPGe. To claim 282 MPG is dubious at best and dishonest math, at the very worst.Like claiming your Corvette does infinity miles per gallon of diesel. :D

I really like how it looks, but it's a modern Lamborghini, and a concept car as well. Uncool.

Hit two of my three points perfectly. I think it's rather good-looking, but concept cars are uncool.

At least the Asterion's something different. Guess Lamborghini figured people would backlash about the Huracan's styling. The hybrid thing should be fun, so I give the Asterion a thumb up!
