You say that, but there have been times where a car dubbed SZ or Uncool was majority by a few, and massively overruled by combining sentiment for both of the opposing opinions.
The system I have takes all the votes into account, but they are weighted differently. Most of the time, it wouldn't matter, and that's good, but there are a few times where a polarizing car will be collecting votes at the extremes, and one may edge the other.
Hell, the Dart GT is a good example. Majority rule was Meh with 35, but the rest were split 23 Cool, 21 Uncool, and 8 Seriously Uncool. That's 52 votes that are basically thrown away. The system takes those votes, does some math, and gives a number relating to the general feeling. The Dart ranked Uncool, not by much mind, and the 350Z that was voted on a week ago was a bigger swing the opposite direction.
In other words, the math is there if the answer is not clear cut. It has changed a few results, but it mainly affirms.
