I love this: " Aston Martin V8 Vantage. Requested by V8_Vantage"

Sub Zero. First: just look at it.
Second: listen to the first 40 seconds of this video.
Third: Be amazed like never before.

I clicked on sub-zero by mistake, I meant to click on cool. It's a very cool car, I see one every day a couple of houses down from me and it never ceases to impress. But by simple virtue of it not being the coolest Aston Martin I wouldn't give it top honours.

Cool. A very, very cool car, but I don't think of it as Sub-Zero. Though I do think it qualifies for Sub-Zero, I see it more as Cool. It doesn't matter, however, it sure is a great car.

Cool.

It's enormously sexy, but the V12 Vantage spoils everything. The V12 looks worse, and the V8 looks plainer. In the past, sub-zero, no doubt. Now, though? Merely cool.

Its sooo much cooler thant some of the tat that's been voted cool I'm tempted to got for Sub-zero, but I can't because to me, an Aston Martin Vantage (like in the 90's) is about the coolest car there is..

.. and that's what a vantage should look like.

Wrong:

The 90s version is the worst looking in my opinion by a long way. Only saved from being the ugliest Aston by the Lagonda and Zagato(s).

I think the new 2008 Vantage is a cool car but if 007 was driving it then it would be Sub-Zero Cool car. Oh and compared to the '90's Aston Martin Vantage that body style reminds me of the 1985 Opel Manta.

Totally uncool car! I wonder if it was done by the same car designer?

The Manta was pretty cool... if it were put to the vote I think it would do okay!

and.. okay the old Vantage is a great looking car, but the 90's model was breathtaking... it's like watching a 747 pull a negative 4g inverted dive!

The only evidence I can find is this,.. which features (unfortunatley) Jeremy Clarkson - but also (fortunately) some Pink Floyd

Edit: just watching that video again, the car that rolls out is a vantage.. the car on the road looks more like a Virage?

When I think "British Everyday Driver" I think the original Mini Cooper...

When I think "British Sports Car" I think Aston Martin...

Those grounds would be enough to call the car Sub-Zero...

BUT, this car doesn't have that elegance to be in the Sub-Zero category, not next to the DB9 and DBS which still look better.

If this was the 90's V8 Vantage, this would be Sub-Zero without question. You can tell it means business just by looking at it and it also looks intimidating. (In fact, in Gran Turismo, I nicknamed my Vantage "Brutus" because the name fit the stature of the car)

But, this car doesn't fit that bill.

COOL

That Aston would get its own freaking meat locker devoted to itself. Everything James May said in his review of it is absolutely correct. That Vantage is just the ******* bomb bar none. When I find myself trying to imagine a European musclecar this is what comes to mind first and foremost.
