Ok had a quick search and found nothing on this.
So without chat we're all having trouble communicating with one another. I thought maybe we could have a set of signals which have simple meanings, nothing complicated, that we can do mid-race to tell fellow 'GTPers' whatever needs telling depending on the situation.
E.g. I dab the brakes on the straights (just enough so the lights come on) to signal someone to pass me, so they know i won't do anything drastic to stop them, its a better way then actually slowing as less time is lost and the two drivers can stay together, and very very useful if many other cars are near so only one spot is dropped by the front car. The same thing can also be performed to signal early braking.
You get the idea, so i'll begin a list of thing like this. Obviously its difficult for the following car to signal, but then again the lead car is generally controlling the pace and its up to the follower to make the correct judgements such as when/if to pass.
Signal - Meaning (X represent lead car, Y represents following)
Flashing brake lights from X to Y - car Y is to overtake X with no resistance encountered
Consistent brake lights (on for more then 2 seconds in an inappropriate area for braking e.g. just after exiting a corner into a straight) from X - do NOT attempt an overtake for whatever reason e.g. to much dangerous traffic e.g. punters or because a slower car is infront halting car X from progressing.
X handbrakes slightly to release smoke in Ys direction - simply means thank you for whatever reason it may be
Any more ideas? and comments whether its worth us all picking these up.
