Hey AC lovers,
I made a Mercedes-Benz 300SEL 6.3 swap/restomod by combining bits and bobs from several mods with permission from modders who I can find a contact. FYI: It's not an immaculate model from the get go. If any talented modder have any ideas or would like to develop it pls be my guest. (eg: I had some problems to resize wheels&rims bigger)

Car by Dmitrii A (updt over unknown author)
Wheels by Maid Cafe (https://boosty.to/maid_cafe)
Electronic Automatic Transmission Simulation Physics v2.0 by Sam S. (discord tag: sammod)

https://sharemods.com/.../mercedes_300sel_M156_AMG_V8...

PS: Hold brake, select D4 with your right paddle to get into drive. Burn some rubber!!

Nissan Z GT300 2025

From TheNuvolari:
This mod was developed with the man, the driver himself; Ryuichiro Tomita. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't have started working on a Z as I saw multiple other modders working on Zs. This is why I teamed up with 908_x32, who faithfully recreated the interior and helped shape the car the way you all see it now. The physics is the key here; Ryuichiro Tomita got us covered with a refined version of a solid base of one of Bonny's cars, all sorted out with permissions, which should be mandatory in a healthy community. You can definitely feel both the Z and GT300 in this!

Car link in the video description.

Nice car, but...

1760685721170.webp

Also, there's no separate internal and external cockpit glass, and it seems to rain inside the car?
Weird. His previous Nissan Z (RZ34) GT500 didn't have these issues.

Dear Track creators,

small question. In the data folder, i want to add a "settings.ini" file, linked to another little project of mine. I didn't see any file like this in the tracks i checked, but i want to make sure it's not gonna interfere with something on the long run.

Can you guys validate that it's not a *.ini entry that's gonna mess up with anything in tracks? Thanks in advance.

Otherwise, as those projects are always fun to share, it's a modified version of the Broken Car App. There's an ai.ini per car modifier implemented in the app. You can save those settings globally in the app folder. It's pretty neat to debug some weird AI behaviors on some tracks, depending on how the Fast_lane was recorded.

My issues with it :
-needs the app to be called and open to apply the hints modifications
-saves the settings globally, not per track

Changes applied:
-ai_hints are called on first script.update or on modification, without the app being called
-modifications can be saved and applied per track or saved globally to be applied on all tracks

That allows you to finally fix that particular AI car going rogue on that particular corner without messing with the acd or making definitive changes to the ai.ini file. The app automatically shuts down online, no interferences there. It doesn't work for encrypted cars.

Exmple : the Kunos Escort brakes waaaaay too early, to a point it would mark a stop before an hairpin. Bringing the Brake Hint to 0.99 instead of 0.94 fixes the problem and makes the AI pace way better and challenging. Now, you can save that setting to a particular track. If it causes issues on another track, you can keep the original settings, applied at start as usual. If you wanna apply those settings everywhere, there's a settings file as well. Bother once, forget about it, the changes would be applied until you either reset the settings (right click) or modify them to better ones.

On some tracks, without modifying the fast_lane.ai, i could make the AI cars 1 to 3 seconds faster just playing with the sliders. I could as well fix the cars that would overshoot corners on hard braking zones. And save the changes for later gaming sessions, without any definitive changes in the car's acd. It's cool. And it's super easy to share your settings as well.

For fastlane makers, it could be a good tool, as you can share your adjusted AI cars, with the fastlane and ai hints.

To push things forward, it can also be adjusted per track position settings with a few more tweaks. DTM cars going rogue on a particular corner? let's bring dedicated values to this exact point. That would prevent fastlanes/hints made with slow cars to be unusable with faster ones, and vice-versa.

This is based on Damgam app from Overtake https://www.overtake.gg/downloads/broken-cars-kicker.72778/

All credits to him. I haven't asked for his permission yet as i want to make sure the app is working well and not interfering with anything, but if you wanna give it a try, DM me.

Edit : i am now thinking this could be a small lua app on its own, without the AI debugs that were the first aim of the app. I might just do that.

Thanks all, have fun!

Unfortunately, it is a sad fact that Ilja's further developments are no longer in line with his income. It could quickly happen that many users cancel their Patreon because they are frustrated. He needs to slowly start delivering something great again and, above all, fix many, many bugs.

Where is he?

Oops. I mean, where is it?

Probably on Ilja's laptop while he's holidaying in the sun somewhere and counting all the money he's taking in while not delivering much any more.
Its actually pretty easy to say something about a person if you don't know him.

But actually he is really busy on doing the final changes for the update and it will be a big improvement in terms of fps in comparison to the prev. releases.

That might be interesting for many people:
I done a lot of test in Linux in the last weeks and making an easy install video to install CashyOS or Bazzite and AC+CSP+Pure on them.

To compare all the OS i did a lot of test with different CSP versions and it seems the new CSP 0.3 will be really performant again.
Test were made on my main system (i7-13700K/4090)
Windows 11, Bazzite 42, CashyOS 08.2025 (KDE Plasma)
For Linux i use the Proton GE 9.20 (which seems the best for AC - tested also 10-15)

I used the AC benchmark to also have a comparison to Vanilla AC (no mods at all).

For the test with CSP i only used the default wfx no Pure to minimize its influence.

1760709202038.webp

(This chart shows the average fps of the AC benchmark run)

Today i tested 0.3.105 again which is even a bit faster then 0.3.102

Sorry @Peter Boese besides the REAL developments like DLSS4/FSR4/XeSS/DX12u and the bugs after each update are both not the only problem. It’s also the spaghetti GUI and “who cares settings” like LogitekG27, Fanatec, gamepad hardware which only a limited of players is using. As a sample in Simhub paid version the most not needed menus (not all) can be removed from the GUI, so you get a much cleaner GUI.
Why not reorganize the whole GUI, grouping it to something more logical and not finding its been separated over X menu sections, like when wanting to find all settings related for graphics improvements in VR. Trying to find one specific settings is now sometimes like finding a needle in the hey
Why not if you select VR, all of the triple and single monitor settings will be hidden or greyed. So it’s more clearer on what to adjust.
Then that FX checkbox, you have to select for activate certain functions in the graphics, so silly. Here also use the greyed out function, so it is clear.

Btw thanks for the Linux support, I’m also on a split decision (W11, custom very lean Windows or Linux). The main factor is WMR VR mode, if reading Modano is not that perfect and difficult to install.

How do you cope VR in Linux or do you not have WMR Headset.

Edit see W11 is still the king of FPS, but did you also measure the 1%?

Hi simracers!
I present you the ACC conversion of the NISSAN GT-R NISMO GT3 2018. The car took me quite some time to complete, because it was difficult to gather the old crew to help me working on it, in my spare time, so I had to take several breaks and restarts. But eventually here we are, version 1.0 is ready to drive, because I couldn't leave the "Godzilla" as an unfinished business.

I want to thank my fellows in this long journey:
enkay74, TheSoundguy, Fanapryde, berserker974, ST130013, ThePharaoh89, CrestedIsland.
Special thanks to FileMissing who had the idea of converting the car, in the first place, but he wasn't able to join us and Fanapryde
❤️

I hope you guys will enjoy driving the car.
You will find a .pdf file inside the archive, where you can understand how to operate the car:

— Manual start or automatic start via .bat file. By default the car is on Manual ignition/start mode.
— 3 MOTEC display pages available
— 2 Racelogic display pages
— SAS Driver info display
— Visor up and down
— 2 celebrations

Thank you all, thanks to Kunos for this great evergreen sim.
Ciao! 😁

Currently i'm just trying to get VR and HDR running, but i didn't found any solution yet. But i also never thought AC would run this good on a Linux system a month ago. So, time will maybe bring the solution. I'm understanding more and more how those things are working and my goal is to show a real alternative to Windows 11 if it comes to Assetto Corsa. I think the stream to Linux will be much bigger in the future.
I'm not that big OS guy but all those "features" Windows 11 is putting in the updates like (Copilot, full screen ads, Recall, removed local accounts ... ). Its really a pain if you know Windows XP or even Windows 7, how convinient those systems were.

So sure Windows has the most performance now and many things are working better like HDR and VR, but some years ago i would never thought of even trying AC on Linux.

Gladly i digged into it and tried it on my main system and it opened my eyes how much less annoying an OS could be if it is just running and don't make things by its own decision. The more people are using distros like Bazzite, CashyOS, ..., the more support this OS gets, the more convenient it will get.

For me it just started as i found the script by a user called "shihawido" https://github.com/sihawido/assettocorsa-linux-setup/.
It installs everything needed to run CM and CSP. I tweaked it a bit so it runs on Bazzite.

So hopefully we get the other stuff running in Linux in the next future.
My plan is to expand my Discord server a bit with a decent Linux chat and so it will be a very easy thing to get things installed and learn more...

Thanks for the car! I don't think it's my weather or PPF (Pure/Pure), but the brake lights seem to be almost white when lights are off, then white with a dull orange when lights are on. Are mine rendering correctly?

Everything off:

I'm joining the discussion. The decals have a black background, as do the screws on the steering wheel. Alpha mode testing doesn't fix the problem. Maybe the background of the main texture was also rendered when the normal map was backed (making it visible).

EDIT: I spoke too soon, everything is fine in game (being an idiot is my superpower)👀

Is there an updated version of the Indianapolis road course? I checked breathe's sheet. Few years ago they made the chicane is slightly wider and flattened the curbs.

@GT3Masters97
I don't know why it doesn't work as intended in the CM Showroom, so eventually I left it like this, since it works perfectly in game.

Thanks for the mod, small audio feedback, we can hear the "green flag go go go" from ACC don't know if it's intentional?

OK, so very similar to my images. The almost-white brake lights are intentional then? I'm not up to speed with GT3 regs so am not sure whether this is now within spec? Got to be honest, was expecting the brakes to be red.
Theoretically It should have been "yellow/orange". Let me investigate. But I guess it has something to do with the PPFilters...
BTW those GT3 cars have different brakes colours/shades depending on the light of the day.
