At the beginning i got bored when i came in the middle of the trailer there was a good editing..Music tones and scenes were dancing together..Nice work..Keep it up!.I think in General GT trailers made by pd are the best. i mean among all racing games trailers

Thanks! :dopey:

Nice video. 👍

Watching this compilation of trailers makes me wonder if there's any better looking game than GT5 will be.

I'd totally agree - a bit slow to get started but the last three quarters is excellent !

Nice job!!!👍👍

Shows how much we HAVE gotten in preview information about this game.

Sony/PD have famished us a bit; We're bordering anorexic, but not starved out completely. (yet.):):)

Great video when you see al those compilation it looks like gt are acheiving photorealistic graphics

Yep, I would agree with most comments here - the start seems a bit disjointed between the videos and the music, but when it gets going, it's really good. The music is great, and I have to thank you for introducing me to another new group for me, "E.S. Posthumus". I shall be tracking down a copy of their album "Unearthed" for sure, as I really like that kind of music.

If you were to go back and fix the beginning, I personally would try and make the videos build up along with the music, but hey, I'm no designer/editor!

Thanks for sharing 👍

Edit: Can't believe I've never heard of that group before, given their credentials! I just bought all three of their studio albums ;)

I agree with the comments, too. It is a bit slow in the beginning. But congratulations on finding a new band to like! Glad I could help! ;)

I made a music video with the song E.S. Posthumus. It took quite a while because Movie Maker is quite a horrid program.
Anyway, enjoy!

Very good, I enjoyed watching it and listening to the music! Other members have posted there own tributes and I think there is a pool of talent here who could earn a living doing this kind of compilation video. If the release video is like this but with different scenes I would be happy!!

Thanks! That clip came from the SLS AMG trailer.

Correction: the song is not called E.S. Posthumus, E.S. Posthumus is the band. Remember Cold case's main theme? Its Nara and was composed by this band-group. This song is pompeii i think. Maybe you should make a music video with tsfh and immediate music songs

I think he meant to say "by E.S. Posthumus", because read his YouTube description:

A compilation of GT5 videos with the song 'Pompeii' by E.S. Posthumus.

As for other similar artists, if anybody is interested I did some research and found the following who also do trailer/movie music on an epic scale:

  • Immediate Music ('Trailerhead' is a good album)
  • Globus (commercial arm of Immediate Music, and their album is called 'Epicon')
  • X-Ray Dog (not really a commercial group)
  • Two Steps from Hell (again, not really commercial, although they do have 2 commercial albums out/coming out, 'Invincible' and 'Nemesis II')
  • Ars Arcana ('The Savage Tongue')
There are others, but these came up as the main ones, and are worth checking out if you like the track 'Pomeii'. It's all quite powerful stuff, so not really the kind of music you can relax to!

Sorry, back on topic now! ;)

I listen to epic music so let me add a couple of bands and composers to your list
City of the Fallen
Music Junkies
Siren Cues(Cursed is my favourite track)
Hans Zimmer(composer)
James Dooley(I think its spelled like that-composer)
Audiomachine
Audionetwork(Heavy Rain soundtrack)
Epic Score
Director Cuts Music
Position Music
Brand X
Pfeirer Broz Music
Groove Addicts

If you want some awesome tracks check these out: Cursed, Fatal Fantasy, Mars, Heart of Courage, Moving Mountains, Skull and Crossbones, 1000 ships fromn the underworld, Dark side of power, Avenger, Master of Shadows, With great power and many more

Nice one cobraagent90, I'll be sure to check those out 👍 I noticed a lot of bands in that "epic", "orchestral" area of music, so it's good to get recommendations.

Do you also listen to groups like Enigma, Era, and Lesiem? They do more "chanting" music, but it's equally powerful, just on a different level. A standout track has to be "Ameno (Remix)" by Era. It's on their "best of" album, and well worth a listen.

Edit: Just listened to "Cursed", very nice indeed :)

I'll have my (second) try:

song is futurelude by hystereo.
(still processing atm, hold on a bit)

Nice video Dracwolley, love the fact that it has a proper intro and outro, with cars rolling on at the start. My only criticism would be, and the same applies to all these things now, it's all getting a bit old! However, that's not your fault! ;)

I am not a fan of lyrics but i find "Ameno" a bit interesting. If you want something really strange check out John Xenakis tracks(he is some kind of a physicist)
