Gents,

We'll likely give todays race another try, SO,, for anyone who might want them these are the NASCAR settings I used today. They were "pilfered" and compiled (and tweeked ever so slightly to fit my driving) from 2 of the YouTube videos by "MaddogMarshall88". I "screwed the pooch" :dopey: and didn't pit at the right time, but that wasn't a fault of the car,, just an ol dude who doesn't run NASCAR enough to have learned the art of "NASCAR strategy" needed to run a good race so came in last place - ran out of fuel :banghead: half way through the last lap.

Geezers another disco day again, when will it end? The answer is now!!!

It has been suggested that we race on a Wednesday or Thursday same time as normal when the rooms should be quieter with the kids at school both sides of the pond.

If you could all let me know if this does work or not work for you, if your still working i will forge a doctors note for you only $10.00 a time.

The note will explain how you have a very contagious disease called Gt-itis and you have to be locked away in a room with your mates from around the world, this is the only known cure.

Unless I have a DR appt (none are scheduled now) this GEEZER can go any day you choose.

Geezers tried again today but the disco's continued.

I will be opening a room on Tuesday and Wednesday at our normal time. My thought is with all the children at school maybe we will get a lot less disconnects.

So if any of you are available on those days {as many as possible} we could meet up and see if it works.

:cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers:

Sorry Geezers i will not be here on Tuesday doctor has arranged an urgent heart scan for me so i better go or she will have my guts for garters.

Maybe someone can open a room on Tuesday.

Here's my RANT of the day. Thanks to PD's lack of maintaining stable servers :banghead:, so we can have a fun race session,

they have forced me to take a hiatus from the game I have spent countless fun hours with. :grumpy: :grumpy:

Until such time that they do a proper revamp, I will not waste my dwindling time on this earth trying to stay in a lobby

that keeps getting disconnected from the 🤬 servers.

Take note, I will NOT be participating in the MOTTS GZR TT forthwith, so the job of picking cars is open to whomever

wants it.

It's been a pleasure meeting, knowing & racing with you all.:cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers:

Until we meet again, Sayonara.

Papa.

Don´t leave us PAPA:( You are a slow driver but a expert geezer .Your work in MOTTS GZR TT is excelent and in our age we can not unherve...

Since there is a bracket of 450 - 480pp we want the slower times for the early weeks So NO oil change for this week's TT

I haven't seen anyone else express an interest in finding cars for the Motts GZR TTs, so if it's ok with the rest of you, I'll select one for us. For the first week Motts GZR TT in the 450-480 TT at Death Valley it will be the Chevy El Camino SS 396 '67. It should be all stock except for the transmission. The stock setting is the Powerglide two speed transmission, and I wouldn't want you all to suffer through a week of only using 2 gears on this curvy track. You can use the upgrade transmission as presented - 149mph setting gives us 3.365, 2.256, 1.629, 1.243, 1.002 with a final gear of 3.310 which as I recall is an actual final gear ratio. It tops out quite nicely at the end of the straight. With NO oil change you get 453 pp, and 325 HP, weight is 1468 kg giving a 4.30 power to weight ratio. The 54/48 front to rear balance is pretty good and allows for a nice driving vehicle even with comfort soft tires. Geezers start your engines!

There are no Geezer cars for the 4wd TT40 - 500 pp

Geezers tomorrow i want to rerun the races from last week, there were too many disconnects to make it viable.

We can only try and see, this week has been good so maybe it will be okay. Go get them NASCARS oil changed ready and also the Celica TRD.

Race 1 Daytona oval, Nascar 28 laps, free tyre choice, full tuning allowed.

Fuel will be on very fast so multiple pitstops.👍👍👍

Race 2 Brands Hatch GP circuit 15 laps, free tyre choice, full tuning allowed. Car is Celica TRD sports m22t231. this will be found under Manufacturer TRD.

Fuel will be on very fast so multiple pitstops again. 👍👍👍

Thanks Geez for posting the points bud. Now, as for this months MOTS GZR TT I made a dumb-a$$'d boo-boo,, suffered a bad case of brain fade and ran the GZR ID in the wrong car. The part that REALLY miffed this 'ol pfart,, I honestly was ahead of our in house ALIEN, RAPID RUNN'N GZR_Jota_FD !! Honest to goodness,, swear'n on tha GZR Code of Conduct,, I had damn near a .25 lead on that rascal. Even tho I knew doggoned well he would be hitch'n up his belt, putting on his KILL gloves and would bust my time off that #1 spot first thing this morning,, but I was nonetheless pretty proud of myself - - - for a few moments.

I left the TT lobby with a big smile on this weathered ol face :). Dunno how I did it but after getting myself a fresh cup a coffee, went to the dealership and bought a NEW S2000(EU) '03, put a tune on it and wouldn't ya know it, without logging out of the GZR account I logged rite back into the TT :dunce:, did the PSN log out and load the race in OFFLINE mode deal so I couldn't see anyone but my blue lines, uploaded the ghost of my daduce1947 lap and went after it with a vengeance in my new hotrod!! Was in ":mad:FULL ON KILL MODE :mischievous:", drove a NEW BEST lap in that car and it wasn't until I logged back in and saw the rest of your times that I realized what I had done! 🤬! :banghead::banghead: Anyway, we saw that our ol bud Stewy made a similar boo-boo and ran his GZR lap in the Series-1,, in yesterdays lobby Pepper suggested Stewy go ahead and run the event in the ElCamino and post his time here. We all know we geezers are an honest lot,, but I think I'll just remove myself from this months race,, take my ZERO for this one and try to catch up when we get the NEW event next month. Daymnn,, still can't believe I did that but I did. Anyway, as they say - "It is what it is" Go get 'em GEEZERS!!

So Stewy and Duce have wrong times. Since we all do this on the honor system anyway, please just post your current best time so we know what the target to beat YOU is. That means each time you post a better time you have to post it. Let's get through this month, and then do it right next month! P.M.

Until someone objects, with a legitimate concern, I will be happy to accept times from any GZR's who find themselves to have proved their Geezerdom by typical Geezer acts :banghead:. Just post your time and that will make it official.

Thanks fellas, the lap I was so proud of the afternoon of 2/27,, the lap that had slid ever so slightly past our bud GZR_Jota was a 1:34.913. Ohh yeah,, he's since then blew that time off the track and pounded out a blistering 1:34.69  with Pepper (aka Veda9947) right on his heels with a 1:34.733! Now dats sum sweet driving gents!

Anyway, my best lap to date is 1:34.849 and as Stewy said,, there's definitely more time that can be shaved off all our times but it will take lap after lap after lap of white knuckle :nervous: driving to hit that PERFECT blend of throttle control, braking and driving line through the corners and that nasty chicane. I'm really liking that truck on this track!! 👍👍

I'll hope that everybody will wait starting this week thursday that Pepper aka Veda will start the race and after that GZR_
who will race will join.
I interpret this as a reminder to wait until pepper posts a new car on 3/3 so we do not have more Geezer moments with using the wrong car. I will send @pepper_mallard a msg to let him know I have recorded the results so that he can post the next car, so if you're waiting for the new car, blame me.

This months Mots event has spun the tires a bit off the starting line, but it is what it is at this point. First, thanks Geezer1791 for accepting the Stewy and Duce times. We'll be having to ask they continue to post their times until the next TT starts.

P Mallard

Week 2 Mots TT is the Shelby GT350 '65 (not the GTR). PP is 454, HP is 304, and weight is 1270 kg (4.17 power to weight ratio). We'll go back to stock transmission and once again with no oil change. There won't be a tremendous change in times since the El Camino was quite fast, but with a little effort you should easily beat your previous time. Should have started with one of the Chrysler products. The next cars will likely need some weight reduction or power change to increase the PP toward the 480 level. P.M.
