Dammit Jav, which internet god did you piss off? I hope you at least try to make it today :)

ATT! Never buy ATT!! Freaking failed me during the Roar before the 2.4 race on iRacing half way trough the race while having led most of the way and sitting in second 1 second behind the leader. And I have my brother's car in a thousand pieces right now looking for a damn missfire on Cylinder one...

Okay, with 4 people, it's not a race. We're opening up a public room to try and recruit some new guys

Room #: 1472-6118-3916-1740-4457

Ok we having low turn out.

Please speak up and give your opinions.

Rain?

Too Long?

Car specs?

We need to generate some drivers. So lets get things sorted so folks will have desire to race. Love the group and the cars. Really want to see this take off again.

So please speak up and give opinions.

As far as my opinion, I love everything about this series... changeable weather (had loads of fun in Spa race), race distance and car specs... :)👍

EDIT: Unfortunately the weather's been chaotic here in Portugal this weekend, and there's been a lot of power outtages...

My thoughts are the cars aren't exactly equal. Also for me I haven't had time to work on my tune recently. At spa my setup didn't work at all in the rain and it really want fun for me because it was so bad.

Sorry i couldnt be in today guys. Had to take my sister to the park.

The series is good. The rain with these specs add a lot of excitement with the C6 RM. People just seem to be busy a lot lately.

I like the series just the way it is. We should definetly make it bi-weekly.

Fun messin around though. Good group of guys here.

Does this series have a date and time? I can't find one. Maybe i'm blind

Think we're in the process of retooling the format. Up to Jav and the collective. First page 3 posts down there's some graphics with race dates, length and track. I think the last official race was spa 3 weeks ago... It rained, epicosity!

I like the current format myself. Would be good with bi weekly. We could do half distance races on the off weeks to help prep. Or hold a large practice session.

Just want to drum up attendance and afraid we me need to make some adjustments to satisfy masses.

Hill, your a quick racer. So your opinion is valid IMO. What cars you feel need adjusting?

Jav is one the most understanding and fair coordinators around. So feel free to share.

When I was first testing there was so much of a difference between all the cars it's hard for me to say which ones need adjusting. The Zonda R was so much faster than any of the other ones I tested at the time but wasn't available. The ZR1 was seconds off the pace for me. I don't have my notes from testing anymore but there was quite a difference in the cars I tested. Maybe I'm missing something or maybe there's tricks to setting up the cars I found to be slow so they would be on pace with the ones I found to be fast but I just don't have the time to test that much to figure it out. One of the things I like about our SNAIL series is it's just driving so you don't have to know the tricks of the game to be fast. Anywho, I like the idea of the series I just feel more work on equalizing the cars should be done.

I feel the cars are balance except for the Zonda being @ 1200kg instead of 1150kg, and the Vette @ 1200 instead of the 1300kg. The rain is fine as long as you run it at very low relistic setting. As soon as someone host a weather change track its always set in a way where for sure its going to rain and I don't think that's right. They might as well call it a rain race.

Definitely because of the the numbers that need to be ran to get prepared for a dry & wet race, every 2 wks should be a race instead of once a week. <--- this last statment is the most important. The 300km is just fine because even at 250km fuel won't play a part in pit strategy. Every car makes it to the end with picking up 15 liters w/ your tire change so 300km is where pit strategies change from driver to driver.

Tyler that was good 1 buddy! 👍

When the specs were created, we were running on hard compound tires, so the cars had a different set of characteristics and abilities. Like the Honda was high on the list, as was the vette, but when Jav came back, we went back to softs and the cars didn't carry over perfectly. The Zonda was never part of the original list, so I just let Jav set the regs. It ended up being quicker, but at a price of consistency and ease of driving. I agree some cars aren't up to snuff overall, but it's quite difficult, as you know, to get all the cars perfectly equal throughout the season on just one set of regs. Give and take.

Next season, we will have a new set of regs, and possibly even a different set of cars. Jav likes to change it up :)

Yea I understand it's hard to get them perfect. I feel like they're quite a bit off but like I said I'm no pro at tuning so it might just be my tuning skills. It makes sense to me though that the change in compound made a difference. I'll have to see what you guys come up with for next season and go from there.

No worries guys we all know it takes a season to reg cars properly, but now that we have taken them for a spin at a couple of tracks the Vette and the Zonda imo only need the re reging

Was fun with the little SuperGT races. Didn't have a great setup for Suzuka, but I love the stealth NSX. One of my favorite cars. Got called a moron by some goofball, not sure who that was, but a little funny :D. I think the cars are pretty even, but some cars are just better than others at the majority of tracks. With certain types of tracks the Vette will be fast, then others it'll be cars like the Citroen. That car I think is one of the best. If you nail the transmission settings it can really help even with low power.

Just realized I cant make this series work for me, being in GMT+8. Argh.

If I could join this series I totally would.

Would anyone help me out with a few GT500 cars? It was kind of a bummer not having one on Sunday. Though I did go buy the HSV.
