Yep same prob here, causing many many multiple successive posts. :(

I think these double post make the database even more slower ......
I think the vbulletin need to be investigated too, as mysql never do anything alone.

Everything should be fixed now, please let me know if you run into any more problems.

Ok there we go I can see my reply. I knew something was wrong and I am glad to see its fixed again. This is usually the fastest site I go to. So when it has problems I know right away. :sly:
Now im unsubscribing and going to surf the site again. :)

Not too sure Jordan, when i clicked on this thread it only had two pages on it. I had to come back out go in again a few times before i got to this (the 4th) page.

You may see a few odd things with reply counts and thread views and pages while I rebuild thread information in the database. It will probably last about another five minutes or so after this post.

Jordan, you the man! I was completel lost for few hours there, I couldn't get on at all for the last 11 hours!!!! I was sitting here staring at my coffee mug (which arrived yesterday, very suave jordan, very suave) and living out my time here in my head, all the wonderful quality posts i was going to make, but now GTP is back up, all those ideas are gone!

Great to see its all sorted, good work Jordan 👍, are you able to give us an idea of what caused this?

Well, to put it simply, one piece of software was upgraded that was incompatable with our version of MySQL (the type of database that our forums run on). The problem started out light a while ago, and eventually progressed before the incompatability was detected. That's how it got so bad - the technicians weren't aware of the incompatability, which is why they were baffled when everything looked perfect when it most obviously wasn't behaving correctly for end users. Fortunately, we got it before it corrupted the database too bad, which is what the server was crunching on overnight.

Well I'm glad I didn't use GTP that day or it would've gave me whole bunch of post count increase for no reason and cause me pain.
