GTP is being slow again.

For the last hour or so, that I have been on this afternoon, GTP has been very slow on loading any of its pages. It's sped a little now in some places (ie, making this thread was instant), but the most simple searches in forums are loading blank pages, and I even got a Database Error waiting for the page to load in the Gran Turismo HD Forum about 10 minutes ago.

Anyone else getting these problems?

Edit: Typically, everything is up to speed now...
 
Yeah I'm with ya there, it was pretty darn slow this morning. I thought it was my sever but apparently i'm not the only one anymore.

I just had a DB Error whilst browsing on my new PSP.

I also had problems for a few hours now, like database errors, or the page loaded very slowly or just didn't load at all. It comes and goes...
 
I just got a big dose of vB errors. I got one yesterday, also. The recent string started when I tried to enter the Rumble Strip at about 11:50. I then reloaded the forum main page but got the error. I got it 5 times in a row, then it stopped and I can get in now, obviously.
 
Yesterday I couldnt even get to the gtplanet homepage! It just said page could not be displayed....

That's an effect of the page timing out/being stopped half way through loading. Because it hasn't loaded everything, some code is missed out and it appears as text because loads of items don't have ending tags. Same effect as just typing the first part of some BBcode:



(That's a guess as to why it happens. Maybe it gives up trying to display the page and displays the source code instead. Eitherway, it's a speed problem)

I agree, that has happened countless times before to me. As soon as I report the problem, it stops. Then as soon as you say it stopped, it starts back up.
 
I was getting these messages yesterday too. Said stuff about MySQL or whatever. Hell if I know.
 
Nothing would load about 10 minutes ago. Now everything seems to be working fine again.
 
Yes, we've received a few spikes in traffic over the past few days and the server hasn't handled it too well. I'm having it looked into at the moment. To give you a bit of an idea of how things have changed...

Yeah, it was probably the GTHD demo news.
 
Jordan, I have a problem also, could that still be related to high traffic on Monday and Tuesday?
You see, my problems happen when I hit the "GTP Forums"-button at the top, to hit the index.php. I get an error when I get transferred to "www.gtplanet.net/forum/index.php", but when I manually delete the "index.php" part, it's allright. What is the reason for that, something to do with the traffic related problems?

I doubt it's related, unless you're still having the same problem. Exactly what error do you get? When you're on the error page, can you refresh the page to get rid of the error?

Very weird, I have no problems now, it's over now. I had a 404 I believe, "The page can not be displayed", with the VBulletin logo stamped on it.

everyone just got a database error

i tried to refresh my user cp, then i got a database error, then i tried to load my gallery, and i got a database error, then i tried to load this thread to tell everyone, and i got another database error!

but before the error i noticed there was nearly 400 people online, which is quite unusual, i guess that's why

i noticed everyone got it because i refreshed the homepage and everyone was gone from the online list, then they came back
 
Yes, I've received the error reports from the server. Looks like it's time for another round of server trouble...

Oh well. I trust that you'll have things back to normal in no time, as you always do. 👍 👍
 
It is being verrrrrrrry slow again, sometimes it just refueses to reply to a thread, and sometimes pages just refuse to load altogether.
 
Seems to be working again now, but you are right, it was going pretty slow. Oh well. Matches the pace of my computer.
 
Yeah, no database errors, but every couple of minutes all pages just completely refuse to load for me.
