Guys, I would really like to have a large scale cruise lobby so that is why I am going to run a cruise lobby at La Sarthe, and random Toscana and Mt Aso tracks tonight, starting in about 30 minutes and running until the night ot give everyone a chance to join. I ope to see you all there. Speed limit will be 62mph/100kph and I will be a police car. Then I will try to recruit another to help out. Please join to make me a happy driver.

Are you going to ride a My Little Pony around the track, and wear the Police-1 suit and Bobby-1 helmet?
 
I just realized I most likely will not be able to make the Laguna Seca race this weekend. Combination of finishing moving apartments and some outdoor concerts where I am going to get memory damaging drunk.

Hey guys. Looking for a pace car driver for Friday night 6:15 pm to 7:30 pm PST. Were giving a couple LM cars to the pace driver for thier help. Daytona, needed for cautions.

It become a My Little Pony meme picture thread. Back to the racing. Me and Jamman did a few laps yesterday. He was doing low 1.14s and I could of done a 1.15 or high 1.14 but my car is unstable at Laguna when I push it that hard so this is abit of an outcry, can someone assist me with 908 car setup? Then we did a race and it was unbelievably close with Jamm being a tad too aggresive, eventually taking me off. tut tut. I think this is apporpriate but the ending is a bit out:

Actually when I came in to the lobby your fastest was a 1:17.xxx. I got a 1:14.2 immediately :sly:

I'm guessing by the term aggressive you mean my overtake but really it's just because by being a racing driver you are under risk all the time. By being a racing driver means you are racing with other people. And if you no longer go for a gap that exists, you are no longer a racing driver because we are competing, competing to win. And the main motivation is to compete for victory, it's not to come 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th. I race to win as long as I feel it's possible. Sometimes you get it wrong? Sure, it's impossible to get it right all the time. But I race designed to win, as long as I feel I'm doing it right.

Senna doesn't mind coming second. But no your were way to ambitious ovetaking. Andreti hairpin, every time, I would easily dive up the inside, giving me track position and the lead. Then you would go round the outside hoping to get past, never acheiving it in that corner. I was like WTF!!! Then every other ovetake you do was involving bumping. Although I have learned the track to avoiding spinning in the corkscrew
 
I had great battles with Senna before he disconnected this weekend. Tissimo as well close to the end of the race, but my tires were off and I stuffed the car eventually and he got past.

I overtook you twice round the outside and had to wait up for you 3 times. And I only bumped you off the track that one time because you'd done it to me a lap earlier. Thought it would be a nice taste of your own medicine. Just because someone is defending well and you can't get past them doesn't mean you run in to the side of them which is what you do to me EVERY time you do an overtake. Gets a bit annoying to be honest. And I don't know whether your doing it deliberately or just a lack of talent :p

I remember the race and I think my talent is visible, just my talent in set up is non existent which means that regardless of my car, I never have it running at full potential on any circuit, shown clearly by mu and his 908. It gets annoying. I'm looking for a future team mate who is a good sport, I get on with and is half decent at set up. I know Blaze is great at set up which is why Jamman is so happy to have him as his team mate. We'll see come the end of the season. Just hope someone is available.

EDIT: I don't know how much skill I have but I think it is far from the top. Thats why having poor skill and poor set up really hurts all of my races. I'd say its a 70:30 split on set up and skill, 70 being skill. I probably fill about 30-40 in the skill section and my set up is probably less than 10. Hmmmm.

I did use it but felt that the tune doesn't suit my driving style (which we already know is quite relaxing on tyres, thus not very aggresive)

Actually I use Killer Whale and it's a dream to drive. If you watch the replays onboard my car you'll see I also have a smooth driving style. To each his own.

That theory isn't well supported. The R8's with awesome setup last season dominated and the GT one's with Blaze's setups and 908's with the Killer Whale are leading the way on pace and championship standings this season. And I don't consider myself a great driver. Last season my top was 5th. This season with a good setup I have a win and two 2nd's. Same with MU for example who with a car he likes and the killer whale is also doing a lot better this season. Same with the 787's which are really fast but just suffer from bad tyre wear. It's mostly about the car and the setup. If a car is setup perfect, anyone who is reasonably average would be able to drive it fast :)

I would say the GT-One has the edge over the 908. Oh it's going to be very tight at the end of the season considering Senna, tissimo, bombe etc. Watch your mirrors!
 
the V12 LMR, is that any good?

EDIT: Reason why 908 and R10 rock in reality. In real life, fuel weighs alot more and the tanks are alot bigger than 100 litres. Thus they carry same amount and go further since the tyres are harder and more durable or they carry much less, stop same time but had less fuel and thus were faster. Hence in GT5, the diesel cars have their advantage destroyed

Huh? What have I got to do with anything, lol, I only have one race left and I'm 50 points behind... and the last race at La Sarthe is with a Toyota with a top speed of 333km/h without slipstreaming.. I'm dooomed, lol...

The BMW V12LMR is very, very good, surprised no one is using it. I am using it for sprint races, haven't tested its tyre wear.
