Awesome race with allin and mu though, those guys were very hard to take and keep positions from.

We had good close racing, never going off track or bumping beyond a tap. Fun stuff.
 
I'm hoping the official driver list is being updated soon. As it seems, I'm with no team mate, probably Peter and I should team up, but I'll wait until BK has spoken.
 
Just saying I didn't really see much pics of me racing. Probably because I was all by myself most of the time. Had a good battle with Peter though. 👍

EDIT: One more thing I just remembered. On Saturday it is the UEFA Champions League Final. Now this is a big thing in Europe and the biggest match of the season and I'm guessing some people will want to watch it. Are we racing this weekend as it clashes with the match?

SH***T, I forgot. I'm not at home because of this. But to be fair, us Europeans are outnumbered, lol. There goes my title defend ;)

I must say though. Minolta=best engine sound on the grid. Sadly I was the only one in it.

I remember cycling through the cars ni the raplay with their low moans, then having an eargasm when I switched to my car.

Also, Why am I the only person who changes gear at the redline? Everyone else is changing far earlier. Trying to reach the maximum power bands?
 
I go above redline.. I think its 9k, I shift about 9500-9700 though... brap brap brap brap..
 
After having tried some different lobbies online I can conclude that there is only ONE factor being responsible for my constant disconnecting and that is the number of people in a room. If any of you have any ideas to how I can make it work properly I will try it. If not I may have to pull out because I can't take it any longer.

Oh ****. If it was like last year with Inter vs Munich I would've been willing to skip it but this year the team I support (Man Utd) vs the best team in the world Barcelona are in it. This will be a tough one to decide :(

You could try hosting? Maybe having you as the anchor of the lobby will stop it. That or we all get disconnected. At least you can play your favourite game online. I got DiRT3 today :bowdown::bowdown::bowdown: and it is the best game I have ever played. Ever. But to play online you need to activate a online pass in the PS store and as we know, that is off for maintence and could be for some time seeing as Sony need to annonce their plans for security measures to the Japanese banks before they are allowed to put the network up there. COME ON SONY!!! THIS IS DIRT WE ARE TALKING ABOUT!!! I WANT TO DO ONLINE GYMKHANA!!
 
It will never work with me as host, all who have tried to join my lounge know that!

And am I jealous at you who got DiRT 3 today! My copy is arriving later because I ordered it from the UK because it's cheaper (25%). It'll probably be a week before I can play it then, hoping not. I am a superb rally driver (at least on the PS) so really looking forward to it :)

EDIT: Btw, now that PSN is back on, activity in this thread has dropped dramatically. How come? I was expecting the activity to increase as soon as the series started and it kind of started Saturday...

I was hoping to change from the Peugeot to the Minolta for the official season. For some reason my 908 has been almost undriveable lately, and I will be more competitive with the Minolta. Seeing as the season didn't officially start yet, I would think this would be ok.
 
I think I'm going to withdraw from this season. I have been neglecting practice and GT5 overall. Sorry guys, I'm not going to be anything good this season as I was really starting to improve. Maybe I can still have fun in practice sessions but when I did play GT5 and drove my C9, it was so terrible you might think I was on comfort tires. I'm too slow now, sorry. What a shame. :/

And I'm definitly not going to be able to improve in so little time. For how I know my driving skills, it will take a long time to restore. How odd.

DiRT 3 is a hell of a game. Going to be putting a lot of hours in to Gymkana and when it comes up online too.
 
Hmmm, dirt 3 sounds fun... Might have to pick it up this weekend.

Oh my god. Check what T4RG4 (Stephen Hood, Cheif game designer on F1 2011) just posted

Basically he was just doing a 75% race around Spa and posted the race review. So it's very big but I saw two very interesting bits. Here:

"...so he excitedly pressed the button exiting a corner and promptly spun, smacking his car into a wall and ending his race.." - for me this shows much improved damage in F1 2011

"...The crash changed strategy for us all and everything was now up for grabs. I was a sitting duck on worn tyres..." - Surely a safety car!!! How else can a crash change strategy and put everything up for grabs!!!

God I'm excited so much about F1 2011 and it's still not had any screenshots or videos shown of it yet :D
 
Not long left till E3. Hang in there! Honestly the improvements are far better than I thought. Just need the safety car confirmed officially and I will **** myself. :O

I'm not going to be there, that's for sure. No need to cancel it just for us though. Besides, the championship is already decided because Mav is in the series ;)

Hate to rain on your parade, but the "strategy change" might be because one guy crashed out which opened up an opportunity for victory again. Plus even if that wasn't true, he said he was a sitting duck on worn tyres, implying that he was stuck on them, going against a safety car, as if there was a safety car he'd pit.

The guy who spun was last at the time.

Maybe he made the decision not to pit cause there were only a few laps left and the others did pit for fresh tyres making him a "sitting duck" ;)
 
since some of you will want to watch the football game i will not be starting the championship this weekend. I will just add another pre-season race.

I also didnt mean to just out some of you who wanted to join but couldnt get into my lounge. You guys can still join the series if you want. If my friends list is full (it always is) just send a message and i will add you.

I can ask Rich for you. btw even though i don't care about the football, I'm happy that the race is pushed back. Now I can play DiRT3 all weekend long
