Chasing down Golfer and GTP_mike in the last ten laps was really thrilling. I got by both of them but with two laps to go, my tires finally got a bit scuffed up and I made an error and mike went through ahead of me. One more lap and I would have been in range to try a repass.

Great racing...that track is truly supurb.
 
Could we run a Michelin Green X Challenge for the car that uses the least fuel in the race? We would all have to be honest but it would be fun. I also think I would do very well in that. Btw thanks BK for it no being 33 laps because then I would runn out of fuel half way through the last lap. In total, I used exactly (fuel would was invisble in the bar) 112 litres of fuel because thats my total top up amount in the race. If I did that earlier then I could of got another 1 stop. But I thought two stop was better until later in the race when the clouds came and tyre wear decreased

You know this tire model is smarter than i thought. i notice that the tires where lasting alot longer since it was cloudy. When i had been testing in Fixed Sunny conditions the tire wear was really bad....
 
Yes!!!! Never thought I'd ever get better than my 2nd place a few weeks ago but I am finally a winner. Considering I didn't even think I would make the actual race in time I am ecstatic :)

Sorry if I may over do it over the next few days but im never going to win again so let me have my moment in the sun :)
 
Monday I'm gonna watch the replay. Then I'll see what happened between Jake and Blaze - and why Golfer decided to overtake me even though he was a lap down...

I'm not blaming anyone, but I think I was driving awesome today, until I drove off the track the first time. Then one more time, one more and one more. Oh well, my feet were hurting. I think I could have got 2nd or 3rd, but I definately didn't deserve any of the spots anyway, lol.

In the quali race: was the grid decided by "slowest first" or something? I did a 1:52.6xx and got pole for the quali race, lol.

I was very worried about you ruining the GT one's party after the first pit stop. We came out right infront of you and you closed me down after about 7 laps and you were right behind me. Then you fell dramatically back just before my pit stop and fell even further back after the pit stop. I was confused at the time but you say something about golfer.

I'll also watch the replay as soon as I can.
 
Bombe, have you updated the spreadsheet? Just I want to see the standings and tissimo has posted the results already in a screenshot. Take your time, no rush. :)

Cheers :) Fortunatly I've got all week to enjoy it. Already looking forward to Monza which should be another good race. Although I seem to remember last season a lot of people got ****ed off with it. Hope it doesn't happen again. Once again also there is going to be a chance of rain so should be exciting.

I remember overtaking you from a lap down twice. Once you were in third, poor run out of the corner before going under the bridge. I had no where to go so had to overtake you. Then at the end of the race, I knew I must have the best tyres of the field (or at least close) so I had to absolutely fly to get 10th place and you being on older rubber I had no option but to ovetake you. Paid off in the end. Wish I caught Mike though. and Mike. Anyway jake was far worse. Stayed behind me on a lap down then overtook me, then the Toyota's. Crazy. Then he did it a few more times from what I recall. If it wasn't this incidents then please tell me which one

EDIT: and there was when you spun, then you team mate decided to have a spin with you in the same corner and I passed both of you

Golfer: You overtook me before the hairpin and then gave it back to me. I know I shouldn't be angry, but I lost a lot of conecntration and then crashed in othe next turn. Never overtake one when you're a lap down, please, even if you're faster... I had catched the two GT-ONEs and were within a second of the leader...

Sorry I haven't updated. Will do it tomorrow. But as far as I can see, Senna has taken the lead. The GT-ONEs are closing the gap, naturally with a 1-2, but still not enough ;)

BK & CJ: Are you teammates? I thought Mav would have been there, but no. Maybe we are too boring (not fast enough) for him .. :(
 
just want to apologize for my awful driving today......... it was really bad, and thats saying something because every race this season ive managed to crash or spin in the first two laps of the race. But today i just couldnt get it together
 
I had a lot of fun today, everyone drove well around me, On lap 3 my pedals lost there connection through the esses, sorry for cutting a few guys off there.My car lost control and my concentration. Other than that I got around pretty good. Really this is the hardest track, so fast and very tricky to pass without contact. I could do an hour there with you guys everyday!
 
Good job to the Toyotas. Hold a spot for me next week, i'll be there ;)

"It's a good thing Mav is an oversleeping drunkard"

And sorry about the overtake but there was nowhere to go
 
I've updated the STANDINGS.

As predicted, Ayrton_Senna94 is the new points leader. Jam moves into 2nd and tissimo into 3rd.

EDIT: GT Bull Japan takes over the team lead with 3 points.

I am watching the replay now. Blaze and Jake: Not intentional that Blaze hits Jake. I watched from Jake's car and the way I see it, he braked a lot and was driving very carefully. And then a well-prepared and faster Blaze can't react to his braking.

I will try and post pics. I've got a couple of 'em so far and since I need to watch 'till the end to get the fastest lap time, there will be more :)

I would like to make trailers for GT5 from replay footage. Can someone advise me on what I need. I have an old iMac running on OSX Leopard


EDIT: Narain Kartakayin (however his name is spelt) is a real F1 record breaker isn't he. In one year he becomes the first person to finish 23rd and then the first to finish 24th. I think these results are trying to tell us something.

EDIT 2: In prep for F1 2011, I'm going to lay down my championship rival now since we have just passed the half way point. My rival is BK.

Arghhhh 6 points off the lead. Any kind of participation at Grand Valley would've put me top lol :)

Rival? Mine would maybe be Blaze if he wasn't my teammate, but it's probably Bombe or MU :p

Great pictures bombe :) Caught pretty much every event in the race up and down the field. Despite me being British I loved this line from you:

"And they battle it out as the Brits they are, pushing and ramming each other"

And after watching the replay I noticed that the GT-ONEs had a very slow tyre wear, even slower than my tyre wear :nervous: I'd better tweak the MINOLTA to a 1-stopper and get back my bragging right!
