theres no way i can drive with a ds3 anymore, but yea that tune was created with the DS3. I did S3 with a DS3 instead of my G27, and i sucked ba**s

We can practice thursday or friday and i'll show you my line and braking points
 
Turn 1 is scary, you have to go full throttle through it. Every car can do that I think :)
I know that's the place I got demolished last time I raced with you, BK, lol...
 
Going to have to put in some practice. I think I was 1:13s in the nissan when I tested.. WELL off pace for this race :(

Lol. Even more scary the season 2 champion (bombe) and season 3 champion (me :sly:) used DS3 to win the championships (bombe uses G25 now). If Jake can finsih off this season that'll be 3 seasons in a row with a DS3 champion :)
 
I am still better with the DS3 if anybody is interested in knowing why I'm so slow, lol...
 
Don't think I'll be a contender for the win purely because of my bloody tyre wear. The 787 is awful here for when the tyres start losing a little bit of wear. By lap 8 I've already fallen out of the 1'10's by a whole second and that's without me smoking my tyres in the duration of that. Hopefully I'll be able to challenge for pole with my 1:10.2 in practice and going wide at the triple chicane which costs a lot of time.

Last season a DS3 user finished 2nd in the championship, me! :D

Wow, I can do 1:09's in the Audi '05 around SSR5. I can only muster low 1:10's in the GT one. I just gotta hope BK, AMF and Mike 46 aren't in the mood lol :)
 
I think I can one stop this race. The key is to be smooth and follow a line that minimizes tire spin. Will it work is the question. 20 laps is bout as far as I've taken 'Bentley'. But it cooperates.

Yea my 2nd lap in the Audi was a 9.8.

Btw, I cut 19 times that lap to get that time. :yuck:

This is similar to Monza in 2010 when the Ferrari's (GT-ONE Team Vettel GPS)suddenly became very fast, McLaren (People like Tom) were fighting with them but ever sligthly so slower. Then the dominant Red Bulls (Jake, Bermuda, Tiss) were struggling and will be leading the midfield.

Oh and that Ferrari 2010/Vettel GPS comparison is spot on. Jamman (Alonso) is very fast but struggles to win due to problems on and off the race track (1 Disconnect, 2 DNS) but meanwhile his slower team mate, golfer (Massa) is pulling out average results based on consistency over the full distance and a more reliable car but driver error has resulted in some crashes and thus failure to finish the race (no disconnects but 2 DNFs) but the team owners are clearly unimpressed and looking for a replacement driver.

Now, we need to start thinking about wether we continue having these 'dry for 3 minutes than endless rain' races because it completely defeats the purpose of wether change. The 1 hour test before the race means that the track is fully wet when we start. And we only get 3 minutes of dry running. Then the track gets wet and the race becomes a DS3 domination. We want close racing where the winner is the fastest guy in the series, not a championship dominanted further by a driver because he uses a DS3 making him very fast at our 3 rain races. Because that is what the yare now. Rain races. Not wether change.

Golfer idk if you mean I'm dominating bc of rain, but I hope not seeing as I won the last 2 dry races and lost the rain race, lol.

You have a point though. We should consider resetting track before the race start. The possibility of actual weather CHANGE races as opposed to just full on wet races is really interesting.

I think we should consider everything except eliminating rain altogether, it's always been a part of LMP racing and this series in particular.

Also yeh i dont enjoy rain personally but i dont think it should be eliminated entirely but if we are garaunteed rain for 90% of the race we should just do dry
 
I wonder how many laps this race is going to be... my tires are in a bad condition after 9 silly laps... it's going to be a loooooong race night...
 
Haven't done any testing there yet, but I think I had been running low 1:13s. I'll see. Also, Bruno had an awesome finish yesterday :D
 
One day I would like to do a one make race... or rather, a race where we all use the same car with the same setup - just to see who really is the fastest :)
