People are going for the Audi now, because with these season 4 regulations, the cars are more bunched up in speed, and any speed advantages any cars had before, are even less now, if at all. That, and the Audi is incredibly smooth and textbook easy to drive, and seems to be easy on its tyres.

I'll suggest that the Speed 8 be shown the door. You know, since we're all still skeptic about whether or not it still has an advantage, and to get more cars used in the series.

Peter please stop posting garbage lol. No offense but your last couple of posts sounding authoritative to me are a little silly, I'm like the 2nd senior member of this series.

The Speed 8 is perfectly even in competition as it stands, nobody is outlawing it. There is zero speculation that it has an advantage. It doesn't.

This series does not function where people race the same car season after season and nobody can switch to what they like. There will be massive car changes for next season. Plus, BK is switching and Allin only races the night series.

Everyone is not fighting for the Audi's. As for east to drive, we all want to drive cars that are fun for us. Some people are faster in some cars than others.

I would prefer to see a hard limit of 2x each model of car next season.

  • All drivers are ordered in a list by how many series races they have participated in
  • Drivers select their car in that order, based on seinority
  • If a driver higher in the list selects a car, he has the right to give his teammate that car as well if the other guy is further down in the list
  • It would be like a fantasy sports draft we would do in a thread here

We always have wound up with everyone pretty happy with their car under the current system of car selection. I can't ever remember anyone being very or even a little bit mad about their car. Your system would create that, people pissed off about being shut out of the top 2 or 3 cars they wanted.

We want people to be competitive and happy. And I have no reason to be biased against your system, either me or whatever teammate I had would be among the first 2 or 3 to pick.

Ehem, MINOLTA S3, Jake... you didn't like it, I didn't like it :D Naah, it wasn't so bad, it was just very unfortunate with the update that ruined the car's upper hand in terms of tyre duration.

Actually I think you would find that I made the first call on it way back in Season 3 so :p

Oh and Bombe, you and MU need to make sure you pay the bookies. You both placed bets at 2.20 that I would quit.

Another spreadsheet correction: I did not participate at Suzuka but am marked down as attending in the driver roster area where it says YES / NO,

I think he got me mixed up with the other Mike :p
 
Also I want to congradulate Jake on his S4 Championship win! Dont get too cocky though, it was all the car ;) Haha, GJ Man

The reason for this, is I'm not going to be at Monza next week, and I was the only one still mathmatically possible to beat jake... the extremely slim chance that there was lol.
 
Just went back to watch BKs trailer. I hope we can do another one for a season review.

Also, Drum, if me and you team up together to do a race edit with commentary (someone might want it) then I can record the sound file using my phone and send it to you via email (along with 1000s of spam jk)

Jake and AMF played bumper cars, Tom went too fast on the pace lap (or too slow?), Kirk and Seth did something and I saved the series by stopping golfer winning. Can you imagine some guy coming here and asking for the latest race winner (to arguable the best Le Mans series) and us introducing golfer :p :sly:

As Mike says though it was a great race except for those slight problems. Very fun :)

what happened to fighting for the 908???

Season 5 will have 3 man teams, with 3 cars max.
The Speed 8 (+60kg), '05 R8, 787b, 908, GT-ONE are all equal with the right driver
so i dont want to see any fighting over this or that car, you will have plenty of backup choices.

it would be nice to see you guys sort this out like adults and not hommes or ill make a system for picking cars that nobody will like.

Also trying to make a powerhouse team would kind of be boring to everyone else too. (maybe ill make each team have to have @ least 1 of the rookies from this season. But ill see what you guys think about that.)

Dont forget this is a game you win GT5 credits, not real life MONIEZZZZZZ$$$$$$$$$$$

Also quit complaining about rain. In the first 3 seasons there was only 1 real race that it rained hard - That was monza. You know when its a rain track( Because PD couldnt be bothered to make a real weather model at all) DO some rain lap times. Every update changes the dumb GT5 weather model. It never use to rain, now it starts 1 min after the lobby opens - deal with it

BK sorry about switching from the bmw, i love the thing but it's just a little slow for my driving style i guess, vegas kicks ass in it though. I guess I'll test both but leaning far toward Audi
 
I hate the rain.... I always try and push to hard as i got used to f1 2010 where the speed difference was small LOL

we need to work on new drivers who are committed next season, not talking about the ones who miss race or two.
The guys who only show up for 1 or 2 races in the season, thats lame.
