What would you consider a better setup? I feel like if I set the TCS any lower the car will just spin out. If I set it any higher I’ll just end up going slower.

Definitely not automatic gears, no matter what.

TCS is a personal preference, but by definition slows you down from your fastest potential time. Of course you might not be able to achieve your fastest potential time due to losing traction so it's a balancing act. That said, never any higher than 2, and I would never go higher than 1 anyway (unless preserving rear tyres during a long race or one with high tyre wear).

This is good to know I will keep this in mind. It’s gonna take a bit to get used to manual but I think I can probably do it.
